It's a "soft, soap-free" formula. Shampoo for cats, dogs, and horses with normal to dry skin that is free, hypoallergenic, emollient, restoring, and antiseborrheic. "While it says it's only available through licensed veterinarians, and my dogs' previous vet had it, it's clearly available on Amazon." The list of ingredients may not appeal to you because it appears to be quite chemical: sodium c12-purified water, sodium c12-purified water, sodium c12-purified 16 olefin sulfonate, lauramide DEA, monosaccharides (= simple sugars like glucose), laurel glucoside, spherulites (microcapsules containing chitosanide: a "natural" biopolymer that forms a protective film on the skin and hair), glycerin fragrance, imidazolidnyl urea, lactic acid, sodium chloride, disodium EDTA, glycol disterate, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamide MEA, and sodium laureth sulfate This combination is supposed to "reduce bacterial and yeast adhesion to the skin's surface layer" and "may delay the onset of irritation due to topical bacteria or yeast." I hope all of this information isn't too much for you. All I can say is that this shampoo was used on a previous dog and was prescribed by a previous veterinarian. The current veterinarian only has a very expensive "calming" shampoo. Despite thorough rinsing, I tried some Superpets' "puppy shampoo," which dried out the dogs' coats and made them itchy. I would never use shampoo from the so-called "big box" stores. I called pet stores again, even though I'd heard that "Mane and Tail" (a horse shampoo) is also good for dogs and humans.
Please accept my sincere apologies; I have no idea. I used it on my dog, who was allergic to everything.
I only used the Allergroom Virbac Shampoo that my vet recommended for my dog. I'd placed an order for it, and it'd arrived in a timely manner the following line

Time limit is ten minutes. This shampoo works great, and my Maltese dog isn't scratching as much as he was before we started using it, but he despises waiting for me to rinse it off. br>br>We still haven't waited 10 minutes before rinsing it. 5 minutes is all my dog can stand. If your dog has been tearing at his skin, this is what you should do. This shampoo may cause discomfort in your dog; the first time we used it, my dog yelped and barked after about 3 minutes of wearing it. But now that we've used it four or five times, he's relaxed about it. br>br>I wash Beau once a week, and despite the fact that this shampoo is pricey, it only requires a small amount per bath, lathers well, and rinses cleanly. I've been using this shampoo for about a month and have only used about a quarter of the bottle.
I purchased this after a neighbor who frequently stops to pet our dog recommended it. Our black lab itched constantly and had circular dry patches on his skin (almost like mild psoriasis). I took him to the veterinarian and changed his diet (he now eats peas). Now (salmon) - Until I began using this shampoo, nothing seemed to work. It's thick, but you can work it into a fairly large area by gradually adding water to the dog's coat as you lather. I'll never buy 'Mart shampoo again because it's so cheap.
For years, I've been scratching nonstop. I've tried everything I can think of to get some relief. Brewer's yeast, diet changes, steroids, and various shampoos have all failed to provide complete symptom relief. The itching was reduced by at least 75% after just bathing once with this shampoo. My dog is itch-free for the first time in years after using it three times over the course of three weeks. It's absolutely incredible. No more scratching his behind against the bottom shelf of the coffee table at night to relieve itching. There will be no more lying on your stomach. For 15 minutes at a time, he sat in the middle of the floor, waiting for me to scratch him. There will be no more yelping. barking at me to get my attention so he can be scratched! I had no idea how much he itched until he wasn't itching anymore. Despite the fact that I knew he was miserable, he would still drive me insane at times by demanding relief from his itching. The price of this shampoo was well worth it. Because I've tried so many shampoos over the years, I was hesitant to buy it. I'm so glad I decided to try this product. My dog, for one, appears to be much happier and at ease.
We have never used a better product than this allergroom shampoo. It does exactly what it says on the tin. The outcomes have exceeded our expectations. Their scratching has been reduced by at least 75%. Virbac's other products are also very effective. I just wanted to share these findings with other dog owners who are in desperate need of assistance for their puppies.
She has extremely sensitive skin, and this shampoo gently cleanses her without leaving an irritating residue. In a large glass of warm water, I dilute about two table spoons of shampoo. It's fantastic!.
For dogs with severe allergies, this is without a doubt the best dog shampoo available. Our Cavalier tolerates it well and his fur becomes super soft as a result. In addition, there is little to no odor. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it considering how well it works.
When our veterinarian first recommended it, we decided to follow through. She hasn't had any issues with it, and while I don't mind the smell of a hospital, others may not. I have allergies to animals such as dogs and cats, but this protects my skin when I hug or touch my pet.
Excellent Shampoo for Dogs and Cats; it contains no soap, making it gentle on the skin and eyes. Good lather, deep cleaning, easy to rinse, soft and clean hair. This product is much cheaper on Amazon than at the vet and is not available in stores, so your pet will enjoy getting a bath.
