The one on the left is from a veterinarian, and the one on the right is from Amazon. I don't believe it's a genuine product because they don't even smell alike. They are not, however, the same, as you can see by looking at them.
For the past two years, I have been repurchasing. Our golden's coat becomes oily and stinky very quickly, and with other shampoos, we could notice the odor/greasy coat in as little as 1. 2 weeks. He also has sensitive skin, so while the greasy coat irritated him by giving him hot spots, I didn't want to aggravate it by bathing him too often and drying out his coat, which would cause other problems. br>br>I saw a lot of good reviews on this shampoo and decided to give it a try. This is something we've bought a lot of times. Our new routine includes giving him a bath every month before applying his flea/tick medication, and his coat is much healthier and the odor is under control. How well you work the suds into the coat is one thing I've noticed makes a significant difference. Compared to a few rush jobs I've done, the months when I take my time and let it all sink in are the extra great months. So take your time. br>br>There is a smell to this. However, I do not believe it has a foul odor. It just doesn't have as much unnecessary fragrance as some other shampoos, which I appreciate.
Our veterinarian advised us to buy this for my elderly dog, who suffers from allergies and has skin issues. He's always on antibiotics for his skin problems, and we're hoping to keep that from happening with this shampoo. So far, everything has gone well. The best thing about this shampoo, in my opinion, is that it smells like coconut, which is unusual for a dog shampoo. Our dog smelled good even after his bath, and the soap lathered well and didn't irritate his eyes when I got close to him with it. I'm going to buy more.
My dog got a rash on his face that was extremely itchy and inconvenient. The skin would turn black, and he couldn't stop himself from scratching so hard that he hurt himself. I've used shampoos to treat allergies in the past, so I did some research on Amazon and Google. I bought this shampoo, and his face looks great after only a few washes. We started with just one side for a few minutes to see if it was uncomfortable or bothering him. On both sides, we've reached five minutes, and the results are fantastic. My dog doesn't appear to be irritated by the soap, and, surprisingly, he doesn't rub his face on the floor after shampooing. It smells wonderful, and I couldn't have asked for a more pleasing result. For our needs, this is a five-star product.
Our pug, who is seven months old, has pimples on his chin. It's because of his age, according to what I've been told. He had to take antibiotics because things had gotten so bad. Nothing worked, no matter how many times I sanitized his stainless steel bowls and wiped his chin after each meal. I noticed it contained BP, and I've used other products from this brand. As a result, I tried it. His chin has improved slightly, but he continues to scratch his ears and face. Instead of my usual Heel shampoo, I decided to bathe him with this today. The first thing I noticed was that when you rinse this stuff, it simply melts away. It appears out of nowhere. It surprised me at first because it doesn't lather very well, but that was to be expected given that it is soapless. I don't care for the scent, but it's not bad and it's soft at least; I'm not sure what it smells like, but it's candyish. It doesn't have a floral or natural scent to it. It doesn't bother him like antiseptic wipes with a fake peach scent do, and he hasn't scratched at all tonight. Before going to bed, he'd normally have five scratching fits. I sincerely hope that this has resolved the issue. He's also incredibly gentle, far more so than most people.
This type of shampoo is one of my favorites for my dog, and it has received positive feedback for its effectiveness. br>br>My only issue is that I purchased this shampoo in May and it is about to expire in November. I had at least a year to a year and a half before it expired when I got it from the vet. It only takes a small amount, so it lasts a long time; I'm just disappointed that I ended up with a bottle that will expire in a few months. Next time, I'll most likely order from the vet, but thank you!.
I have a 7lb shih tzu furbaby, and they are generally very sensitive, high maintenance dogs (their smart, loyal, gentle, and loving personality makes up for it). br>She gets seasonal allergies and itchy coat, ears, hot spots, and other areas. So far, I love this product. I've only used it once, and I can already see her relief, 1/3 of the scratching with just one use! Her coat is gleaming and soft, smelling like coconuts, and the leathers are silky and easy to rinse. This is a winner for us when compared to other products that smell like heavy-duty chemicals. The bottle's seal was missing when it arrived, but the top was on, so there was some leakage. So there you have it.
For a dog with skin issues, this is required.
