Having tried cheap dog shampoo and not liked the results, and getting sticker shock at prices they charged at the pet stores, I took a look online and read reviewers here on Amazon. My favorite thing about it was that it was natural and earthy It is a pet-friendly product, and even though I have never had an issue with my dog's itch in the past, prevention is always a good idea. However, its neutral scent was a major reason I chose this product. The dog is white and small, so I don't want him smelling like lavender or some such. Having said that, sometimes you're just at the mercy of what the store has to offer if you don't have the chance to smell it beforehand. Not disappointed. It took me a while to believe what a difference this shampoo made after my first bath The quality of the product has made it worth the expense! In the past, I had used another brand of Oatmeal Bath, but thought that it would be better for the environment to switch to this one. actually works better on my dogs than it does on me! It's nice to see their coats are soft, they don't have hot spots, and they love to rub their coats and faces on anything and tangle their hair after a bath. After a quick comb or brush through their coats when dry, I don't need to remove their hair to remove any tangles! If I use this shampoo, I never have to remove their hair for tangles to come out. This is also a favorite of theirs. The four I have A Cocker Spaniel, a Lhasa Apso, a Shizu Tzu and a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen are the top four dogs on the list. It is true that they are all rescues or abandoned pets, but they all feel special here and particularly after bath time with this.
I've had a few German Shepherds and they are very susceptible to problems with hot spots. Despite removing all the natural oils that dogs need, this soap is very gentle on their skin. A GSD gets so wet after bathing that it's very difficult to dry completely. It helps give me peace of mind that the dog won't suffer any skin irritation. The breeder of my first Sheltie, who used biogroom products, used it on me in February 2017. This shampoo is my favorite because of the way it makes their coat feel and look. I have tried other shampoos, but this one is my favorite. The problem with buying shelties is that you can't stop at one, so now I buy them Biogroom also makes a rinseless shampoo that I use a lot. If you don't want to wash your dog completely, you can use it on their coats to clean them up.

I needed a gentle shampoo for the beach when I took my poodle. He was going to be in the sun all day and I knew I had to bathe him every day. It seemed like a good idea to get this shampoo from my groomer and she was right. His skin was great after using it because it had a clean smell. The shampoo helps him scratch less and conditions his hair which is why I have continued to use it. This product and others by this company are excellent. I plan on purchasing them again.
