This product is essential for my crew because it softens their coats and removes any loose fur, resulting in less mess in my house and car. This conditioner (along with the lemonaid shampoo) is the reason that when I watch dogs in my home, I frequently send them home with a bath and the parents rave about how wonderful they smell for DAYS afterward. Because of the coat release, you'll notice a lot less hair in your house and a much softer puppy! br>br>I've told a few people about this product and they balk at the price, but I explain that it's concentrated and that you can dilute it to make it last longer: I take an empty dawn soap bottle and put a tablespoon of conditioner in it, then fill it halfway with water and I'm good to go!.
This conditioner came highly recommended by our Aussiedoodle's groomer, and it does make him feel softer and easier to brush out. When I used it for the second time, I noticed on the instructions that it can be used diluted, and I discovered that because of the conditioner's thickness, it is much easier to use this way on heavy fur. If your dog's fur makes spreading the conditioner difficult, dilute it in warm water before bathing and use as a "cream rinse" if your dog's fur makes it difficult to spread the conditioner; this will likely make it last longer and be more cost effective in the long run, though it is an extra step.
This was primarily purchased for my young son. It isn't as concentrated as the shampoo I bought. It has a strong peppermint scent that made my nose itch and made my husband complain right away. I was able to save part of his coat that had become matted in places with the shampoo and conditioner, as well as an HV pet dryer. Furthermore, despite the fact that he had been trimmed, it was not as close to normal (YEA). I'll finish what's left in the bottle, but I won't buy it again because the scent was too strong for both me and him. I gave it four stars because my man is now soft and lustrous, but the strong scent is a deal-breaker. For me, it was a deal breaker.

With a forced air dryer, it's great for removing undercoat. The dog's undercoat flies away. Excellent detangler, even better with Best Shot's Ultra Vitalizing Mist. After shampooing and rinsing, I apply 3: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1 1 or 5: One dilution. I believe the key to success with this, as with any deshed or detangler conditioner, is to massage the product into the skin and leave it on for at least 5 minutes. It has a long-lasting fresh scent. I really like this conditioner.
I'm a professional dog groomer, and this shampoo/conditioner is my holy grail. It cleans the dog thoroughly, leaves the coat feeling healthy and fresh, and effectively removes matting. Clients frequently tell me how much easier it is to brush their dogs since switching to this product; the mild mint scent is a nice bonus, but I find it doesn't last very long outside of the bath, but the dogs smell fresh.

My Miniature Poodle's show coat feels great and is easy to care for after using this conditioner. Coat changes are never fun, but this appears to reduce the amount of brushing required to keep it from tangling or matting. It also has a pleasant, understated scent.
