Questions & Answers
It's an Insect Growth Rehulator, a substance that prevents fleas from reaching reproductive maturity - Isn't this shampoo supposed to kill fleas when they come into contact with it? The fleas must be killed, not controlled. Plus, there's a warning that precor is harmful to humans if it seeps through the skin, so don't bathe your dog barehanded, so I assume it'll be harmful to dogs as well.
The flea shampoo is extremely effective. It kills fleas on contact, and I always follow the instructions, which state that it kills fleas for up to 28 days in this case. However, until I was able to control the problem, I bathed my cats once every two weeks. Follow the directions on the bottle exactly, and then keep an eye on your cat to see if he has any reactions. This should help you decide whether or not more frequent baths are necessary.
I strongly advise speaking with your veterinarian about the proper age.
Shampoo is a fantastic choice.

Since May of this year, I've been battling fleas. It's April 2020 now. It's ridiculous how many things I've tried. I've flooded the yard, limited my dog's outdoor activities, and flea bombed the entire house. All while working with store-bought materials. I even did dawn dish soap for a friend who runs a disabled cat sanctuary. br>br>I bought flea medicines and soaps and applied them on a regular schedule (except for cats, where I've been using topical drops). br>br>I even did dawn dish soap for a friend who runs a disabled cat sanctuary. br>br>These fleas have been my worst nightmare. I've spent hours combing through all of the animals for them, and I've also plucked quite a few. I'm completely worn out. The majority of my cats are black, and having a corgi makes it difficult to see them. Finally, I used the shampoo on the dog, and while I'll have to repeat the process, there is a noticeable difference. Because corgis have two coats (husky dogs have three), it's difficult to get a good lather in them. br>br>However, even after my corgi's bath in the drain had come to a halt- a large number of fleas that have died There are plenty. They usually cling to my dog's underbelly and groin. Soaping was infuriating for both of us, but seeing those dead fleas made me feel a lot better and less like a pervert. br>br>I only have one white cat. It was dead in seconds after I sprayed it with soap. To make it easier for me to comb and pick out fleas, I lathered the cat (cats who I've had to sit down and shave some of their fur down, but not completely bald). Today, I counted about four fleas entering the bath. br>br>I stood there watching 15 full-grown adults flush their money down the toilet. And I couldn't be more pleased. br>br>Thank God for this product, because I would be in absolute hell right now if it weren't for it. I had them in my bed and was being chewed on at the start of this. I'm allergic to fleas, as it turns out. br>br>Now neither I nor my animals will be harmed.
This is fantastic. Fleas perish in a matter of seconds. They die in the tub, and they keep flying out even after I blow dry them. It works great if you use it once a week. Being surrounded by so many street cats makes it difficult to keep my four dogs away from fleas. This is the only thing I'm going to use from now on.
I usually start with "natural" flea products, which do a decent job of killing adult fleas on contact but fall short in terms of long-term control. Regardless of what the labels say, this is a term. So you have to pull out the big guns every now and then. br>br>After a friendly neighborhood possum took up residence in my attic, I was cursed with a flea infestation both inside and out. The dogs' monthly flea preventatives and my own yard treatment(s) are effective, but I needed a back-up plan to keep them from bringing live fleas into the house. Adams Plus in conjunction with Precor is a fantastic combination. Adult fleas are definitely killed on contact (and flushed down the drain). After a few days, I notice dead fleas in my dogs' fur, indicating that it continues to work. The odor isn't great; it has a "chemical-like" smell to it. y" (obviously), but not in an overpowering way. Their fur was also relatively soft and tidy afterward. One of my dogs is the model for the poster. I used the puppy for skin problems and had no negative reactions. I'll continue to use it for my more severe flea infestations.
Very let down. Adams products used to be much better, but last night I gave my small dog a bath with Adams shampoo, making sure to scrub every inch of her from head to tail and leaving it on for over five minutes. After drying her off, I began plucking what appeared to be dead fleas off of her, but once I placed them in a Ziploc bag so I could watch, I noticed two out of six appeared to be alive still, and 24 hours later they have returned to full strength. I also checked my dog, and there were still fleas on her. This shampoo left me feeling very unsatisfied.
My cat brought some fleas in from outside, and I could see her scratching all the time, so I tried a variety of products before ordering the shampoo as a last resort. I liked what I saw on a YouTube video where someone suggested starting at the top of the animals' heads so that the fleas can run down to the lower body and the product kills the fleas, and the fleas don't hide in your pet's face/head. What a difference it makes. I could see the fleas being washed away in the water, and my cat hasn't had an itch since!.
I followed the instructions to the letter, and my Newfoundland has lost almost all of her fur and has the driest, itchiest skin I've ever seen! My Newfie used to have the most beautiful, thick, soft, velvety fur until I used this shampoo, and now her coat is almost completely gone and her skin is scaly with tons of large dandruff, and she itches all the time! IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I'm sick to my stomach that my dog has to go through this; it's far worse than the lice infestation; I should have used a natural product instead of this chemical garbage.
