What are the dimensions of the actual blade is it 1 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" tall, and is it the replacement blade for the Conair 5gc275s clipper model?

It is 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall, but I am not aware of all the clippers for which this is a replacement blade. A Conair Pet Pro prgd240 has been given to me.

Can these clippers be used with a con air HC408r hair clipper?

My opinion is that it won't happen. Magnets are used to hold the blades in place on the con air. It's the last one I bought, at least I think it's the last

Sadly I have no idea if it would fit. I just got it for my nephew! It is around the same size as his conair wireless trimmer. The good news is the fit is good.

No, but it is a bit "tricky", since if you fail to align the blades with the teeth so that they are completely flush with the teeth, it will slip, so make sure you grab the screws when tightening them! It's true, they do fit.

As well as the blade, I had to replace the screws in the listing image, which are prominently displayed on the blade. Upon receiving the item, the screws were missing. After ordering the first blade I returned it and reordered another the same way. There were no screws included. What are the signs of false.

I was not happy with being sent something that does not work with the clippers I have. In reading the description, it was clearly stated that my clippers would fit. For my own peace of mind, I measured.
