In the United States, the voltage is 120 volts. On the underside of the blades, there's a label that says that. It also has a power consumption of 45 watts. People frequently make the mistake of confusing 120 volts and 110 volts - 220 volts is a commonly used abbreviation for 240 volts. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that an appliance's voltage range is specified as 110-240V. The voltage is 120 volts.
On Amazon, they sell European/Travel voltage adapters, which allow you to use American electrical devices in a variety of countries where the plugs and voltages are not the same as in the United States.
There are no guards included.
My cat has three layers of hair, and we've tried using the quieter shavers, which work fine for regular trims but aren't as effective on knots or severe mats. It shaves through inches of matted hair without getting stuck, stopping, tearing the skin, or scaring the cat. When I hold the shaver up, he likes to run over. All of my cuts are done with the 10 blade, including those on our older cat, who has one layer of long hair. They enjoy using this shaver because it allows them to shave in minutes without having to harness them. Best buy!

I tried two different methods to contact Oster and was told that someone would call me back, but I never received a call. It's almost as if this switch was made to fail. a small wire switch protruding from the unit's end, which is almost certain to fall to the ground and break. As a side note, I borrowed a Wahl clipper from a friend to finish clipping my dog, and it's interesting to note that I dropped it several times, and it has a stitch that's nearly impossible to break when it falls. Do not buy this Oster product until the switch is redesigned!.
This was purchased as a backup plan. Just in case my ten-year-old Andis decides to quit while I'm clipping my dogs, I've got a back-up plan. br>In comparison to my Andis, this clipper is a bit heavier. br>I put this clipper away for when I need to cut my hair. br>When it comes to grooming my dogs, I prefer Andis.
Because it heats up quickly, you must work quickly; however, my cat does not have much patience, so I have to do him in multiple sessions. The blades are pleasant to the touch; they are a little noisy, but not enough to frighten him. Both of my cats have been taken care of. One of them appears to enjoy the hair cuts, and I believe that when they start to get too hot, my cat will flee and I will have to stop.
" I've used several different brands of clippers on my nasty little dogs over the last ten years (note: not as badass as I expected), but they're nice. Take a deep breath and relax because I adore naughty little dogs). I'm hoping this set will last a long time; it's a classic set of clippers that I've had since I was a child, and I'm now an old man. I had a friend who swears by them and not at them when it comes to clipping her poodles. I've used them in three grooming sessions so far, and I highly recommend getting the Oster universal guide set to go with the ten blade that comes with it. (note: I bought the 3f blade for a 1/2" cut, but the 10 blade with guides is plenty). I wish all of you doggie daddies and mamas a pleasant grooming experience. ****UPDATE**** I've had these for over a year and have had the opportunity to compare them to an Andis AGC, and there is a significant difference; my A5's are noisier, vibrate more, and heat up faster than the AGC's, prompting me to reduce my rating by half. ****UPDATE 2*** Since then, I've purchased two more skip tooth blades 3 *** UPDATE 3**** 3. This is the hot tip for thick-haired beasties (Shih Tzu) The clippers rolled off the counter while trimming my beard five years after purchase; yes, I use the dog's clippers on myself as well. I finally messed up the bottom toggle switch, ordered it, and had it replaced in no time. I love Prime!.
My veterinarian recommended it, so I bought it. It took about 20 restarts to get the blades to work, but after that everything has been fine. I used it to get rid of some horribly large fur mats on my long-haired cat. senior cat with fur She despises it, but the unit's strength allowed the project to be completed quickly with minimal disruption to my cat.
Simple to use, change blades, and clean. The cord is long and powerful. Although they are heavier due to the metal body, the housing does not crack or break when dropped from a grooming table to a concrete floor, as plastic ones do! There are a variety of quick-change blade sizes available at retail. The owner of a Giant Schnauzer highly recommends it, and it is used (and loaned out) on a monthly basis.
My cat's thick matted undercoat was cut like butter with this clipper. I'd tried two other clippers before, both of which barely made it through, much to my and Ezie's chagrin. I did have to replace two blades, so I'm glad I bought a backup. I'm keeping her clipped because it makes her look so much better. Only a short soft covering is left by the ten blade.
These clippers are absolutely incredible. The blades are simple to replace and work well on all hair types. I've had a set of these clippers for over two decades and they're still going strong. I use them on people, livestock, and pets.
