Yes, the dimensions are odd, but they fit standard boat railing. However, I don't recommend using them to pull against the power line because they will simply pop off.
Mine are a 1" and they are very comfortable.
The previous remark was incorrect. These will not fit 50 amp shore power cables or rails that are more than 1 inch in diameter.

They do what they're supposed to do and are very useful for keeping the deck tight while at the dock. However, when used on a SAILBOAT lifeline, they do slow down the process of "leaving the dock. " Rather than simply unplugging and coiling the cord on the dock, you must carefully remove the clips so that they do not fall into the drink. This would not be an issue if you had a powerboat with a solid rail all the way around, but on lifelines, they essentially just hang in place with the help of the cord's weight.
I'd seen them on other boats and decided to purchase them. They're well worth the investment. The deck now appears to be clean, and I can walk around and clean the boat without having to remove the cord.
These were extremely successful. When used as the first connection to the shore, they hold well to the cord and are easy to pop off the rail when needed, but they do not pop off while you are away from the boat. For the first season, it performed admirably and did not fade in the sunlight.
The Marinco clips have made us very happy. Our cord was drooping in a few places, so I'm glad we added some new clips to supplement our existing ones. The old clips are indistinguishable from the new ones, and they're several years old, so there's no fading or deterioration. br>br>Although the cord must be removed when the boat is launched, we have left our clips on the lifelines while sailing and they have not fallen off.
These are great for removing the shore power cord from the deck. My sailboat's lifelines are where I hang mine, and the little bubble at the top (as seen in the photo) is designed to fit over the narrow lifeline vs. a regular tube Also, the bottom loop has enough clamping friction to prevent it from sliding on the shore power cord, so they won't move, at least not easily, once you've got them in the right position for your setup.
I'm a big fan of the cable clips for shore power. Removes the cable from the deck! There are no marks on the deck. There will be no tripping due to the deck cord! Installing and using this product was a breeze!.
Saves time when we're getting ready to sail and when we're returning to the dock.
These are perfect for hanging my shorepower cord on my stainless steel (vinyl coated) lifelines, and they're even strong enough not to break in high winds when the boat is rocking at the dock.
