I'm not sure why it's considered dangerous. This is one of the flavors that my current Minnie Pearl enjoys. I've had cats since 1978, one of whom lived for 20 years and the other for 18 years, and both of whom loved tuna. The water drained from human tuna, in fact, was adored by some.

My senior cat has had a lifetime of preferences, but she ate dry kibble for the majority of her life. She developed thyroid problems as she grew older and couldn't seem to eat enough. She'd eat too much and then throw up everything. As a result, I decided to experiment with a variety of wet foods to supplement her dry food. We tried all of the "good" natural brands as well as the lower-cost, lower-quality brands in the hopes of finding something she'd eat for more than one or two cans. Grills, pates, chunks, and gravies were among the dishes we sampled. She was a big fan of gravies, but not chunks. When we thinned out the pates, we found that they were too dry and lost their flavor appeal. She didn't like it when the cans were left open or refrigerated for too long. Nothing was working, and she was rapidly losing weight. After reading some of the reviews on this site, I decided to give Sheba a try with her. I'm so happy I did. We primarily order chicken portions, with white fish and salmon portions thrown in for good measure. Each and every dish is prepared from scratch. She consumes three meals per day. 4 times a day, plus a dry kibble portion at 3 a. m. She enjoys it so much that she has regained some weight as a result of it. If you're having trouble finding the "right" food for your cat, I'd strongly advise you to give this a try.
My cats like it, but I'm 71 and can't open the lids with my fingers, and I've tried using pliers, but it just tears the tab off. Sometimes the juice squirts out as well. Unless the cans are brought back, I will no longer purchase this product. I also feed Fancy Feast to my nine cats, so that's what they'll be eating all of the time in terms of canned food. When stacked in the cupboard, the odd shapes of the containers cause them to fall over. Holding them is strange.

It contains more poultry byproducts than meat byproducts, and it does not contain the advertised beef liver. My cat will not eat this new food, which is more expensive than the traditional canned food (a 24-pack of canned food contains 9. It is essentially an inferior product that contains more of the cheaper ingredients (chicken/poultry) and less of the more expensive ones (beef/meat) and is 6 oz more in total and costs about $1 less.

It's a game of chance! I've ordered it several times in a variety of flavors, and the portion size is excellent. HOWEVER - When this food is opened, many of the packets are already spoiled. Some are new and well-kept, while others are old and run-down. coloration have a nice texture When the package is opened, it emits a distinct odor. You never know what you'll get when you open a box of chocolates. When you open some of the packets, they smell rancid. Others have a problem with it. the hue The color of the metal has oxidized to a brownish gray. Others are an odd liquid-like substance. y surface texture And at least one of the packets spontaneously burst open on the shelf a few days after I got it, revealing maggots inside. It reeked like a sewer. My cat is now completely enamored with the new environment. unspoiled packets, but she scoffs at the spoiled, off-brand varieties. I'm a big fan of the Perfect Portions: They work out perfectly with no waste and no need for refrigeration (Marlon will not eat leftovers from the fridge no matter what I do with them, which has always been a problem, resulting in a lot of waste). Marlon is 17 years old and eats three wet meals a day. He has dry food available 24 hours a day. I prepare one portion of pate for his breakfast and the other for his lunch - He completes both tasks in a short amount of time - Marlon is large and rangy, and he is hyperthyroid and requires food, so he eats at his leisure for about a half hour! He's having Turkey Cuts for dinner, and if he doesn't finish it, I'm stuck with the leftovers!! I adore the Perfect Portions' mini loaves, which have just the right amount of gravy to keep them moist and delicious all the way through. I recently switched to Sheba from a more commercial brand, and I'm really happy with the decision: Both because of the higher quality and Marlon's enthusiasm, in my opinion. Marlon suffers from irritable bowel syndrome and is easily irritated. He had no trouble adjusting to life in Sheba. I was able to complete the mix in 50 minutes. Immediately, 50 – After a few days, Marlon was eating Sheba 100% again. I'm pleased with Sheba and am confident that Marlon (and I) will remain with her for the rest of Marlon's life.
