This brand used to be one of my Bengal's favorites, but she no longer eats it. Something else, I believe, has also changed.
It works to some extent for that purpose, but my cat seems to eat all of the topper and leave the healthy canned food behind more often than not (depending on how much he despises it).
Designed and manufactured in the United States of America. I have no idea what aafco is - There is no mention of it on the label.

My cat isn't a picky eater; he prefers wet cat food, and he thought this food was "okay. " He licked the gravy and walked away from the morsels on several occasions. br>br>I would not have bought it if I had paid more attention (my fault). Take a look at what follows. For starters, this is intended to be a supplement rather than a meal. ", according to the back of the package. Perfect for boosting the appeal of dry food or as a simple snack. ", and "natural topper/snack for cats," according to the package's front. ", according to the Amazon page. This product is only meant to be used as a supplement to your regular diet. As a result, this isn't meant to be a meal. br>br>In addition, my cat is on a restricted-ingredients diet. Although this product is grain-free, it does contain chicken broth, chicken liver, and egg product, which I do not feed to my cat at this time. When I saw the word "duck," I assumed it was a limited ingredient. That's my fault for not reading the description more carefully; hopefully, if your cat is on a limited ingredient diet, you won't make the same mistake.
As you can see in the photo, there is far too much liquid in this wet food, and the odor is foul. When purchased from PerSmart, this specific type and flavor of wet food is the only wet food that my cat will eat. She gagged and tried to bury the food when I gave it to her. br>br>I do not recommend this product, and I strongly advise Amazon to investigate Quality Assessment.
These were purchased for my older cat, who had three teeth extracted. These treats are great because they are soft and he enjoys them a lot. I'd be willing to pay the price if it weren't for the fact that about a quarter of the treats crumble into dust at the bottom of the bag, rendering it useless. I probably won not buy again and instead search for different soft treats that are 100% usable instead.
The gravy in any of these grain-free pouch cat foods is all my cats want to do. They don't take the food with them when they leave. Why isn't there a company that only makes grain-free gravy for cats?.
We've been removing too many treats from our cats' diets, and this one was recently added to supplement a healthier "treat. " I divide the package in half and feed it to two cats twice a day, which keeps them happy. I believe their desire for "temptations" has waned. We continue to feed them their regular cans of wet food twice a day (they split two), so these packets are treats in between. These are more easily chewed by one of our cats than "hard" treats.
I used to find it on a variety of surfaces throughout the house. Most people, I imagine, feed their cats the entire packet. Mine won't eat anything but the liquid, so I strain it, then add some mineral oil and stir it up to prevent hairballs. It works, and the cats consider receiving a special treat to be the highlight of their day!.
In terms of cat food, the ingredients in this product are adequate. That is why I purchased it. This is something my cat really enjoys, but there's a catch. Some cats will eat the gravy/broth but not the meat, as other reviewers have noted. This was my cat's situation until I started mashing the meat into smaller pieces before serving it. It's a pain to have to do this, but she's grown to appreciate the meat. Blue Buffalo should offer a finer-ground option, in my opinion.
When I give it to them, they turn their backs on it. They might eat the gravy after it has sat for a while and they realize I'm not feeding them any other wet cat food, but that's it.
