We've been experimenting with automatic feeders to see if our cat will let us sleep in on weekends if his breakfast is served at his normal weekday time (cat owners everywhere will chuckle at that idea). This feeder is one of our favorites! This one has a see-through lid, which I like but the cat does not. The food level is easily visible, which is convenient for me but torturous for my son, who dreams of being obese. After meals, he paws at the lid, but it won't budge. It's a tight fit. A sensor on the machine also alerts you when the food supply is running low - If the tank is less than 1/3 full, the small light on the front turns red. I like that I'll know a few days ahead of time when I need to go to the store. br>br>The whole thing has a sleek look to it, and I expected setup to be difficult, but the instructions on this model were very simple to follow. My grumpy cat will get his meals three times per day, just the way he likes them, thanks to some trial and error and about 15 minutes of programming. He doesn't like the portion control that the auto feeder imposes, and he still cries for all of his meals, even though I clearly heard breakfast drop into his bowl on time. br>br>The voice message is also a cute feature - When your pet's food level drops, you can record a short message for them to hear. I'm not sure if our boy can hear it over his maniacal crunching, but hearing what the kids have recorded for him makes us laugh. Last but not least, the cord for this is quite long, which is ideal for my kitchen setup. The outlet I use is more than three feet off the ground, and there's still plenty of cord to go around. There's also a spot for backup batteries, which will come in handy if the power goes out. br>br>Overall, this is a very useful little appliance with which I have no complaints. This model has exceeded our expectations!.

PETLIBRO PL-100 is a product that my cat and I have been using for quite some time. For the past 6 months, I've been using AF001. We like the features except for the lack of a lid lock and the lack of a signal when the food level is low. This PL- seemed to me to be a good idea. AF004 is a good option because it has both of the above features. In this review, I'll be comparing the two products. br>br>Quality and color - When I first opened the product's box, I was struck by how different the colors were- PL- This one is yellowish, whereas AF001 is pure white. AF001, which aren't found on the PL- AF004. br>br>Recording of High Quality - When it comes to recording, the PL-series is the way to go. The sound quality of AF001 is unquestionably superior. The PL-Audio tape was used for the recording. AF004 has a muffled tone to it. Food Alarm - Low br>br> It's a useful feature, but it's poorly designed. The light is always on, whether it's blue or red, which can be annoying at night. I wish the red light would only turn on when the food supply is running low. In addition, the red light indicator illuminates very early - when you still have 1L of food left, which will last my cat for another week or two. Unless you're the type who likes to stuff their face with snacks, I don't think the low food alarm is very useful. There are two disadvantages: A new bowl with a locking lid was sent by the company. Overall, the product does exactly what it says it will. According to the user guide, the food is distributed in the correct amount. br>br> One thing to keep in mind is that the lid does not have a locking mechanism; it is simply a lid that clicks on. It does not click on well after several uses and must be held on with tape or a runner band; however, the 6L version has a lockable lid. Additionally, when attempting to remove the door, the battery area has brittle plastic that is easily broken. br>br>The product has easy-to-see buttons, and the blue led light is very visible, and when it turns red when the food supply is low, it's easy to see that it's time to refill. br>br>About 6 weeks into revision 2: br>Ok, this product hasn't held up. br>For starters, the lid no longer closes properly and needs to be taped shut, and it failed to dispense food for the scheduled feeding tonight. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to recommend this product.
