The cat eared breakaway's ears were extremely sharp and pokey, and because it's worn around the neck, it's "ears" poke two hard points directly into the cats neck, and that's after I filed the points down. Who designed these things because they appear to be torture devices? My cats despised these collars and itched and scratched at them constantly; they acted as if these collars were driving them insane, and they all vanished in a day or two, the cats "breaking them away" on trees or grass, etc. Also, they aren't adjustable, although they did fit, they are just extremely cheap and uncomfortable, don't waste your money on these, I feel like I threw $10 in the trash, and I have yet to find any of the collars.

Outdoor cat that was rescued from the wild. He's a sweetheart, but he can't seem to make the transition to indoor life; the collar fit perfectly, but he's now wearing his sleeker, almost summer coat. In the winter, he becomes extremely fluffy, resembling a tiger's mane around his neck. His neck is 8 inches long and he weighs 13 pounds. We purchased the three-pack expecting to have to replace his collar on a regular basis because he is an explorer, but the first one has already lasted over a month. We also put it to the test to see if it would easily break away, which it did. We would buy from them again.

They're too thick and bulky for my kittens; they might be better suited to larger cats. Despite the fact that the kitten ears on the plastic part are a cute touch, the points poked my kitten's neck, so I had to cut and file them smooth.

My cats' bodies and fur types are also quite different. Because my female cat has long fur and a small neck, I prefer to leave her collar a little looser so that her fur does not tangle or matte around it. The only drawback is that the buckle's 'ears' can be sharp, so be sure to remove them and sand down any rough edges. I only used a rough nail file and a pair of nail clippers!.

They're cute, so I'm giving them two stars. In addition, they're ineffective. They're not going to last more than five minutes. We have a litter of four kittens, all of which are jet black and are now eight months old. Collars are not required because they are only used indoors. However, it's difficult to tell them apart without looking at their faces closely, so we figured that if we gave them different colored collars, we'd be able to tell who's who from across the room. To begin with, the listing specifies that the collars are for four. A sealed plastic bag was included in the package. The bag has three collars, and the bag's label states that it has three collars. Second, they do not adhere to the skin. They aren't being removed by the cats. They simply open and fall away on their own. I'm reverting to the belt-style collars I wore as a child (a very long time ago). I've never seen a cat strangle itself or die from one of these. I'd return them if they weren't so cheap.

I despise writing negative reviews, but I don't want other people to waste their money on these collars. I should have expected them to be worthless for the price. My cat took off each collar (I tried all four) in under a minute. Even the tiniest tug on the clasp will cause it to open completely. The clasp's ears weren't as sharp as some other reviewers claimed, but he didn't keep it on long enough to be hurt in any case. It was a waste of my time and money; I was disappointed, but not surprised given the price; instead, get the Frisco brand from Chewy; they're about $7 and stay closed.
