Due to the fact that my girls weigh less than 5 pounds, I am not sure what size they should be. There is a problem with the steps that needs to be resolved soon. The foam is sinking and the stairs are getting deformed. My recommendation would be to stay away from You can probably put it on your 80-pound dog, but it will probably be too soft.
The measurements for the highest step are taken at the back. If your measurements match your 26 inches, you should choose the size that matches.
The first step for me was to order one for myself from Amazon! A note from the manufacturer is included about this product. According to the site, there are replacement covers available.

We have a tall bed so we have to place a Frenchie beside it.
