It is clearly marked on the bottom of the bed that it contains no flame retardant chemicals at all. I just wanted to add that my cats love this bed. They're the only ones who've ever loved a bed.
It would not be a problem at all since there is 8 1/2 inches between ground and cushion. No jumping would be required and she could just step on and off the cushion the rest of the way

I think this is a good one, though! I like the material and the sofa looks to be of high quality. It's bigger than I expected but I liked the material as well. I wish they would have a broader range of colors available. The sofa appears to be a human couch shrunk into cat size. I have attached a picture of my biggest cat laying on it. He weighs about 18 pounds. Additionally, I show some of the other cat sofas that have been successful to demonstrate size comparisons.
My wife and I researched other options for our beloved furry friend and found that this couch was the best for us. It was a pleasure reading the previous reviews, so I want to reiterate that sentiment as well. It is a GREAT purchase because it is well constructed, stylish, and easy to set up. The color and design are fantastic and, best of all, it matches perfectly with my Crate and Barrel furniture Couches made from barrels! The legs are secured in a secure package, and all that's required is unpacking and screwing them in. I know this sounds silly, but my dog weighs about 22 lbs, a beagle mix, and couch fits her beautifully. There is just something about this couch that she loves! This is the perfect place for her to hang over the armrests and give us the look of bored puppy dog eyes, or to snuggle up in her baby blanket and sleep any way she wants. Because she never gets off that couch, she always ends up in the photo when we try to take pictures in the room.
