Product Description

Spectra Tape is a clear, strong double-sided sticky adhesive strip that blends perfectly with your home decor, is non-toxic, safe to cats, and is ideal to keep your cat from scratching your furniture!
A healthier, safer place for your pet With a pet furniture protector guard made of medical-grade adhesive, you can ensure your pet is safe and secure in their environment.
Apply the cat scratch barrier tape to a surface by pulling the tape from the roll to desired length, then carefully cut the tape with the dispenser, sticking the sticky side of the tape firmly to the surface. Last, make sure the white contact paper on the outer surface is cracked and peeled away. Test a small piece of tape on an inconspicuous area before applying it to ensure that the adhesive is compatible with the surfaces.
Besides serving as cat scratch deterrent tapes, the heavy-duty adhesive can also be used to tape furniture, hide cables, hold windows and doors tight, lift luggage, secure the corners of your car, and create a protective layer on your lawn or garden.

Questions & Answers

Are you sure it is ?

How long is the guarantee good for? It was on the arm of the sofa when I forgot I had put it there, and I ended up sitting on it by accident. When I attempted to roll off the sofa, it remained stuck to the sofa and I had to take great care not to lose my pants. We never had a problem with our son's cats scratching the sofa and after he took them home, I removed the tape from my antique damask upholstery and found no residue or damage.

Is this really going to stick to a wall outside (I know it would not work as well if it rains)?

Based on the surface, it may or may not work. The surface should be smooth. If the surface is really bumpy, it probably won't work. Having to replace it every time it rained would be a hassle.

Does it require a lot of effort to execute? When I tried a different brand of Kitty Tape, my cat started to lick As soon as I took it off, it came off. ?

There has been a graffiti, or at least a written message on my doorframe, for a few weeks. It is still up, despite my cat licking it all the time

What is the easiest way to remove this?

While it comes off of fabrics easily where I've used it, I have a mess to clean up now since I'm trying to remove it from my granite countertop. It did serve its purpose, though, of making my cat jump on the counter when I wasn't looking the first time he did so.

Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing
5/5

I am in love with this stuff! When my son's cats were staying with us while he was away, they decided my antique sofa was the ideal scratching post. I tried the citrus spray, but the cats didn't seem to like it. Their scratching seems to indicate they were attracted to the scent. Afterwards, I ordered this tape, and the world changed for me. I like the tape because it is clear, easy to apply and it stays in place. There was no way to even get near the sofa since the cats did not like the feel of it. If you're wondering about its stickiness, just know that it's As I was making hand-rolled noodles one evening, I watched the news with my husband while rubbing the butter into the flour before adding the liquid. When the butter and flour are in the bowl, I like to sit down and watch the news a while while rubbing the butter into the flour. As I sat there with both hands working the butter and the flour together, I suddenly realized I was sitting on a taped sofa arm. It was hard for me to get up because the sofa was fastened around me. It is useless for me to use my hands since they are sticky with flour and butter. I almost lost my pants trying to get unstuck while Hubby is crying so hard he's lauging so hard. I finally rolled off the tape but he's lauging so hard he's lauging so hard I'm crying. Certainly, this tape sticks to itself. As soon as my son came home with his cats, I felt very happy to untape the furniture. To my great delight, the sticky tape came right off and caused no damage to the sage damask fabric I had used.

The door stays shut at night so my cat does not claw it
5/5

There are two cats here at home, a tabby and a tortoise shell, both of them well-behaved They were well-behaved Except for tabby, who is fond of clawing at doors in the middle of the It has been with me since years ago that I have put them to sleep in a separate room with the door closed, but since this past year, said tabby has determined how to jolt the door and doorknob enough to wake me and others I tried everything I could think of From adjusting feeding hours to providing toys to barricading the inside of the door at night, we have tried everything. Regardless of what I tried, he would always start tinkering with the door around 2 to 4 a. m. and keep doing it throughout the night, no matter what I tried. I have determined to try this tape based upon the The tabby also has a thing with plastic, so I was a little nervous. In any case, I haven't heard any noise from him at night after taped up the entire bottom half of the door, the frame and the doorknob. There have never been any instances of this. I am at least fairly confident that the tape will hold to the surfaces for the moment, though I know I will have to replace it with time. I have a stubborn cat, and it works for her. At the moment, I'm not going to say much else. Should anything change in the future, I will update this.

It seems to do the job for now

I have a cat, though it's a B. The witch was. My cat is a brat, as you can see. Certified 100% brat (replace brat with other b- If you feel like it, you can say a word or two This is true as well). You give her attention, and she slashes you with it when you give in to her cries. The other day, while sharpening her claws on the couch (to claw YOU with), she started sharpening her nails while sitting on the couch. She has reached the decade of her life and doesn't give a damn what anyone says anymore. This was my purpose in getting her off the couch, so I put her in this stuff. To start with, I just taped it to the section she has clawed. It was a cat's scent, so she picked a *different* part of the couch to claw at. It is a pretty long story, but my couch is covered in double-sided tape There is nothing but cushioning, except on the floor. As far as the technical aspects go Her claws aren't on it anymore, but she's never pawed anything before and was just doing it because she was a contrary It's likely that she would scream at you to get off her lawn if she had the ability to. Those are the kind of old people she is. In recent days, she's taken to chewing on the heads off my daughter's stuffed animals and no longer bothers to sit on the couch. My plan is to leave the double-sided tape on a few more days, but I can't tell you how effective this would be if you are trying to train a cat instead of you are just the owner of a jackass cat. If you're just like me and have a jackass cat, you may just want to get some cheap double sided tape, which would have worked as well.

I love this product - I've used it a lot Fuzz and lint don't hurt either, even after it's been covered in them
5/5

I really like the way this works As soon as my cat touched it, she pulled her paws away with a look that said, "what the heck is that--" Could you please tell me why you are I thought that was pretty Even after doing so once, she has not scratched there again. It would be nice to use it to cover my entire chair. However, it is no longer sticky due to collecting dust and lint. It looks like beige/white tape on my navy blue chair and it is no longer sticky. I guess it is what it is. Isn't that what we do for our cats? However, she has to keep her hands off the chair to prevent permanent damage to it. It is still on the furniture, but I have pulled it off one corner and it appears the fabric underneath is fine. I am not sure if she will scratch there again once I remove the entire piece of furniture. Yet I am not ready to give it a try!.

This does the trick

Television is not a favorite place for the cats. There is LED lighting on the back of my 65" Tv, on which I have mounted LED lighting strips. Multiple cats live in my house, and they have always gone out to have parties and reunions behind my television. Chewing the LED light strips and pulling them down is a favorite activity of theirs. On the second shelf of the tv stand are several cat holes, and a few cats like to hide in the middle shelf. The bottom shelf is a little more difficult to access since there is a sound bar on it. I've changed the LED light strips multiple times due to this problem, and I was getting really aggravated by it. A sticky tape I found on Amazon caught my eye, and I decided to give it a try before turning to other more drastic measures (static mats, etc. ). The tape I use for this project is behind the TV on the floor, and I placed a few strips of it in the middle and on the top shelf above it. In order to see the cats' reaction as they stepped on the tape, we watched them after we had placed the There has never been a time when the cats have returned behind the TV, or hopped There is an instinctive knowledge that they cannot return to that place. What clever little buggers they are, I believe the tape is working, so let's get to it. Cats no longer go there because it is sticky, not because it is unhealthy.
