Questions & Answers

was just wondering if this cage could comfortably accommodate a parrot of the African Grey family? Thanks for sharing. ?

My Congo African Grey as well as my Double Yellow Head Amazons will fit perfectly in this cage. On the wires, I covered them with plastic tubing to raise the perches so they can rest comfortably.

Can this cage accommodate a Mc caw and make it comfortable for it?

It might have been a Dusky Conure, but I am not sure. In addition to the two African Greys, one Eclectus parrot, and another Goffin Cockatoo, the people reviewing this cage have other birds as well. I can only suggest what I already suggested if you know where your McCaw falls in with the other parrots you mentioned. They do not live in a cage in their house. Due to the other two respondents who said they would not go with them, I would also. Also, it appears that they have a McCaw. It would be nice if I could help more.

Do you think this would be a good size for my ?

I find it very comfortable for my 290g Goffin to travel from home to the vet in it. There is no need to turn back. A large bird would not be able to fit through the hole.

Apparently, one of the customer reviews noted that the bottom tray of the cage was not secure and that it could topple over. What has been done to fix this?

The bottom tray can only be incorrectly installed if it is not installed correctly. Just below the door on the bottom front, it must be slid under the cage, just below the rotating door lock. I suppose it can tip in if you simply place it at the bottom of the cage instead of sliding it onto the rails. There are really wonderful details to the cage, but I couldn't figure out why it came with crappy plastic feet that kept After losing one (and discarding the others), we discarded them. If you slide the bottom tray into the cage bottom rails instead of just putting it in the cage, there is no risk of it falling out.

A nice, light travel cage, but the bottom needs to be covered with some sort of grating
4/5

Whether I would be able to travel with my green cheeked conure was a question I pondered. For car trips, to work, or just to the backyard man cave I chose this, but because I am a person who likes things immediately, I ordered the "Midwest Avian Adventures Poquito Hotel" first because it was cheaper and shipped I bought this cage when I was unable to use the other cage most often because the other cage was too heavy and too big to use regularly. The first thing that is noticeable about it is that it is very light and compact. Neither the aluminum panels on the sides nor their tops are poorly fitted or finished. The bronze color I selected is just what I wanted. I'm very happy As it turns out, I didn't notice the assembly instructions on the outside of the shipping box until after I already assembled it, so I wasn't upset, although I did bemoan the lack of assembly instructions enclosed in the box. Having silver aluminum bars contrasted with a matte finish makes this chair very attractive and a marked improvement over its predecessor. Having a magnetic control for the door would be very nice. But, if there were a pull on the door that would be greatly appreciated. It is common for the latching mechanism to snap back to its locked position if you try to pull it by the mechanism. Using it as a pulley is not recommended. As a result, you'll need to hook a finger through the bars in order to remove it from the The situation is not ideal, but not too bad. Several times, we have mentioned that the bottom of the cage is a weak point. There is only a pan made of aluminum that rests upon the It is possible to prevent this, but cage accessories can be attached to the low places on the bars in order to prevent it from being pushed upward. In my opinion, the single most important defect that hasn't been addressed is the absence Your bird must be able to drag his tail feathers through the poop in the pan due to the fact that you don't have any way to stop it. A grate with legs which would allow the bird to access the top of the pan would be necessary for the item to be given five I ended up ordering this stainless steel mesh woven into a 12 by 12 inch frame Since it is woven, I could easily pull a strand out of either side. Once I had pulled one out of either side, I took wire cutters and snipped off the perpendicular strands, leaving every third. make sure you wear eye protection and do it outside. As if they are bullets, they zing out of there. The mesh could then be rested on the vertical bars Here are a few pictures I've attached. Now I can put my little girl on something that will keep her off poo paper so that she can walk on it.

I received the blue version of the small travel cage for my Noble Macaw, Molly, and it is perfect
5/5

Like a Blue Crown, she is the size of a small macaw and the size of a large conure. As long as the perch is placed midway up, she is able to accommodate her long tail in this cage. A larger mini macaw like an Illiger or Severe would take up too much space in this cage. While the spacing of the bars is fine for a Green Cheek, a cockatiel could fit his head through them if they were too widely spaced. Despite its lightweight design and ease of putting it together, it is sturdy. It is a good idea to feed treats to your bird and allow it to get used to it so that when you need to use it, your bird will feel Being a resident of Northern California and having witnessed the devastation of the recent wildfires, as well as hearing stories about how little time people had to prepare for evacuation, I decided it was time to begin making provisions for myself and my pets in the event of an emergency. Cages like this have the advantage of being able to be stored flat and assembled easily. Customers have reported that the bottom tray of some King's Cages is able to be pulled up by pushing it upwards. King's Cage has addressed this problem. With Amazon it is now possible to buy a cage that is perfect, beautiful, highly precision-made, and reasonably priced. My Green Cheek Conure will also be getting one of these cages as I am so impressed with them.

Assembling Fiddley is a bit of a hassle
4/5

The cage is really nice. I love the way it looks. This is a very heavy duty product. Putting together the "slide together" assembly was somewhat challenging. The instructions did not appear to be accurate (there was no direction, It seemed as if I was constantly trying to hold it together "in square" and things did not slide as smoothly as I was expecting. Several taps with the hammer were needed to get the final piece in place. It may not be in your best interest to disassemble it for storage. The thing I cut myself on twice (I'm not sure what it was). The bandaging on my fingers makes me much happier now that my fingers are healed. There seems to be a bit of a gap between the bars on the cage for my baby green cheek conure, but we'll see how things go. It would be good to have lots of supervision. The cage is durable, and I like it for this reason. Despite its light weight, it is not extremely fast. live in a fire-prone area, so I will feel better knowing the bird will be protected should I have to evacuate with the dog and bird.

Vet visits are easier with this cage
5/5

For about 45 minutes, I have to take my birds to and from the veterinarian's office. I was looking for a light-weight carrier for them. There were plastic crates I was using, and the birds did not like them. In addition, I need to carry anything heavy due to a recent surgery on my hand. With this aluminum cage, I was able to put it together fairly quickly. It's well made, and it took me only ten minutes to assemble. My two black amazons and two gray dogs fit in with plenty of room. My experience with the computer has been great, and I'm actually looking into getting another one as soon as possible.

It was so good that we loved it
5/5

I ordered this for our Goffin Cockatoo (in our small camper), and he enjoys The only time he's in the bed (on Me) is during the day because he sleeps in the bed. Since we liked his cage so much, we bought him the "new" larger cage which has the tray and bottom grate (all made of aluminum). My husband and I always wash the tray and grate in the bathtub each day. His cage is always tidy. In the end, what worked out best for me was I contacted King Cages, and they were able to find me a second grate & latch In the morning, the dirty ones are taken out, the clean ones are slipped in, and the dirty ones are put in to soak, brush, dry, and then put back in the morning. I really like it. You can ask them to stock extra trays and grates if you speak to them. You can count on them whenever you need them! You will be glad you spent the money because your bird will thank you!.
