It has been reported to me that at least 2 reviewers lost their birds due to this toy entangling them. Do you plan to discontinue the product, JW Pet?

This would have been more helpful if they had warned that small birds like finches will not be safe from it. This isn't what I leave in for my bird all the time, only when giving millet as a special It has worked so far without any issues.

Parakeets are too young to consume this product, is it dangerous?

This thing is hanging, but how do you do it? There were no hooks or anything attached to it. ?

My millet spray holder is attached to a key chain. The key ring hooks on key ring at the top of the cage, while the hook on the top of the holder also hooks on key ring. I love the millet holder I have.

Birds die when they fall victim to this trap! A pair of zebra finches gets a treat out of this when I keep millet sprays in it. I was horrified to find that my male finch had died after getting stuck in this feeder this morning. This is because the top is quite wide (compared to that of a finch's head), and even though the top has a horizontal bar that's supposed to prevent this, it is not securely attached. It is possible that my poor bird fell head first into the aquarium overnight, struggled and got his wing caught in The cause of his death is not known. It could have been from suffocation on the millet, a heart attack, or simply excessive pressure. The deathtrap I found him in this morning was a deathtrap. He was stuck in the feeder and I wasn't able to remove him. Apparently, she has been very tramatized today, as she hasn't spoken a word I do not recommend this for small bird cages. I found this to be utterly.

My pigeons were not happy with the outcome

I wonder if this millet holder would work for smaller birds, but my rescue pigeons can't stand up to it. As for the top hook, it's not very heavy and there is no way to anchor it, so it bounces around a little bit when they peck Despite this, I had to secure it to the cage side, and the birds still could not get their beaks through that small opening. With large birds, I would not recommend using this millet holder.

It appears to work fine for larger birds, but doesn't work for smaller ones It arrived on Monday and so far there have been no issues It was a pretty design, but I didn't like the color - size of it (it's blue & white I found it too big for my parakeet to use) it did not fit well

His hands are too small to reach the seeds & Despite the fact that I have seen him pecking at it every night, I haven't seen him touch the sprig I put in it on Monday. My next step will be to clip the spray to the side of the cage with an office clip that I have lying The arrangement looks like it would be easy for him to get to it, but judging by how little he ate of the rosemary sprig compared to what he was getting before I put the holder in his cage, it wasn't.

Exactly what it is supposed to do

Serving the purpose it is intended for, but isn't that why we buy products. It works with this one. I would only change the clip on the hanging rod. Honestly, I think metal would be a better choice, as plastic is so thin and so flimsy, and I have no idea how long it will hold up.

Our parakeets are very happy with these. Easily stuffed with treats the dogs use them all the time. These are great for keeping them busy for hours by giving out treats. They keep them occupied for hours by giving out treats.

It's a good buy for the price

It serves its purpose well. It scared my cockatiels for a few days but that's normal when you don't know what to expect. A mullet spray can be blown into it far enough to cover a small island. The only thing I would have preferred is for it to come with a chain or metal clip to hang it. It was up to me to use a key chain that was old.

He loves it, and so do the budgies

Since I have owned this for a few months, my two budgies have not damaged the vase in the slightest. A small to medium sized grain can fit in it easily, and a larger grain branch can be inserted. It was wonderful to watch my birds swing around on it. One bird is even smart enough or lazy enough to drag it to the perch and hold it with one foot while holding the millet holder in the other, while eating everything it This is something I will buy again, if I need to replace it or get an additional one in the future.

The millet can be eaten by birds without them putting all of it on This millet is not spilled all over my house because my parakeet can eat it without spilling it
