In short, yes. They are hard to come by locally and they are quite sturdy. My rake is versatile (I use it to cut roof shingles, remove ice, and this summer to kill poisonous snakes).

After applying sheetrock to my new shop floor and mudding it (I dropped a bit of mud) I bought this scraper to clean it. As far as the construction goes, it seems to be solid. As you might have guessed, the blade is from The blade is really blunt, and that is what I dislike most about it. The last thing you want is a dull scraper. Well, I guess I'll give it a sharpening at the grinder.
You should check where the steel was made before you buy it.
The tool isn't sharp enough to scrape up old flooring, but it will be useful to rake leaves. I mostly used it for scraping up old flooring, but it's really great for yard work!.

I eventually bought something from Home Depot with a sharper edge because it wasn't better. I bought another that wasn't much better that was 12 inches.
