That is not the case, in my opinion. It shows that I bought a pump separately when I bought mine a few years ago. This is the pump we used, and it worked perfectly. (Intex Easy Set 530 Gallon Swimming Pool Filter Pump) Our water was crystal clear after we added a chlorine tablet float to it.

For my three large dogs, I bought this pool. Because all of them have sharp nails, I was skeptical. This has been in my possession for over a month, and my dogs have thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't have any complaints about the liner's strength.

I explained that I was looking at the box and got her phone number from the intex instruction booklet, not to mention why would I call her for a part for a different brand of pool that wouldn't be compatible lol after 20 minutes of trying to persuade her that I did, she finally agreed. I got it, and everything is "swimmingly" perfect now.
