Sorry, but that's a salt chlorinator, and this is for the Pentair puck chlorinator.
No, I use mine in conjunction with the Hayward chlorinator during the summer months only. During the rest of the year, I still use a pool float chlorinator, but I reduce the adjustment to avoid dispersing too much chlorine, and I always check the pool chemistry daily, especially during the summer months.
This isn't for the pump; it's for the Pentair chlorinator.
If it's going to be used in a chlorinator cap, it needs to have grease on it because the chlorine will dry it out and tear the o ring. I've been there and done it.

I'm not sure what to say. It keeps the lid of your Rainbow 320 sumo chlorinator tightly closed, making it more effective than if there was an air leak. They also provide you with a small packet of silicon to help lubricate it. I have a larger tube because it is important to keep your gaskets from drying out in the 105-degree Texas days, as well as making it easier to open and close the various pool devices that have them. Get yourself a tube, about the size of a small tube of toothpaste, because you must use silicon lubricant every time you open and clean filters. This isn't required every time you open your pool chlorine tablet feeder, but keep in mind that it's a 3 inch caustic, concentrated chemical, so the silicon is critical. Why pay more for gaskets, or even the same, when you can save money by not going to the pool store? Take a look at the illustration. I've never had a gasket pop out of the chlorinator in the 30 years I've had a house with an inground pool. The diameter was increased by three inches. Not only would it not fit back in, but it would also be able to slip over the entire thing with the cap on! Again, crystal clear water, but 95 degrees in the daytime in Texas is cool! In the summer, we don't have access to cold tap water.
If I do not receive AT LEAST 2 years per o- I'm not going to buy another ring from this company. Leslie's has the OEM for the same price. We all know you don't go there looking for a good deal.
I yanked the previous, non-functional Rainbow cap out of the Rainbow cap two days ago. VITON O- The ring had started to fall apart. I cleaned up the cap a little and installed a new VITON O-Size Pool Ruler. Place the ring in the appropriate location. It was a lot thinner than the last one, but it seemed to fit. New tablets were inserted, and the cap was tightened around the Rainbow's body. Pump was activated. It didn't leak and isn't expected to do so in the near future. Hopefully, everything is in working order. I put the extra one away in case I needed it again.
In comparison to the OEM O-rings, these may be too soft. Ring. The OEM is a 90 Duro Vition that lasted me 5 pool seasons on just one O-ring. Ring. When I bought these, I was lucky if I got one season out of each one. Ring. This appears to be similar to the EPDM O- Rings. I'm unable to test the exact material because I lack the necessary equipment. I used to work in inspections at a chemical plant, and the only way to test the material was with a chemical test, so I'd say this is at most a Viton 70 Duro.
The original lasted a few years, but the replacement I had previously (NOT FROM WESTWORKS) lasted even less than a season. I could feel the cracks on the inside of the ring that I had just replaced a month ago. After replacing the ring with my last spare, I needed another, which is when I came across these from WestWorks. br>I just replaced my cracked ring from last month with this WestWorks blue one, which looks great in the zodiac. I'm hoping this 'chlorine resistant' version is actually better, and I believe the zodiac came with one (which would explain why the original lasted so long). br>I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the lubricant, though. It now works perfectly without it.
It was simple to put together and was well-sealed. There will no longer be any leaks. They haven't been in service long enough for me to comment on durability, but I've found that other chlorinator " o " rings don't last more than a season in my experience. The harsh chlorine environment, as well as the removal and re-installation of lids on a regular basis, sealing. It's always a good idea to have a couple of extras on hand.
It not only fit properly, but the cover is also much easier to put on and take off. To get the cap to seal and then remove it, I used to have to use an extra lever. This one was completed by hand tightening. On the old one, I used siliconized grease, just like you do on this one. This is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises.
I purchased this a year ago to replace an o ring in my Pentair 320 that had been in use for four years. I crammed the part in and it stayed in place despite its size. A year later, as I was adding tablets, it popped out (literally), even more swollen and mostly decomposed. There was no way it was going to fit into the lid again. In the meantime, a trimmed jar opener sheet will suffice until I can find a more suitable replacement.
