It depends on the type of filter, but the pump filter basket captures big debris and the filter itself removes dirt- so you may need to replace or clean the filter afterward.

With this, you will not receive a net!

Are there any threads that need to be locked in or Teflon tape applied before installation?

I do not need it. This EZ CLIP simply fixes the pole to the pool.

Despite this, however. With algae, it works very well. Both the weight compartment and the water compartment fill up It is now filled with rusty water as seen in the pictures. You can seal them first if you have only used them twice.

It's a good product, just drill more holes and it'll be more useful

The weights were not going to rust out waiting for stagnant water to do so, as others have said. At the top and at the bottom of the weight chamber, I drilled two 1/4" holes. It is not a good idea to have a one hole design. To drain and dry the pool, multiple holes should be provided. According to the description, the unit is functional.

It's a fact. The head I have is exactly what I would have liked to have had when I purchased my pool in 2009! When I was pregnant, I used to use the rolling vacuum but it kept sticking and I worried that it might tear This morning, I received my vacuum cleaner and tested it on recirculate and waste options. Since the filter settings are recirculate and waste, the dirt the vac picks up does not cloud up on the waste setting. My old roller vac and cleaner took twice as long to clean due to the brush which scrubbed the liner at the same time. Although the suction made up for the light weight, the weight was a bit light. I am very happy with my purchase! I am/I am.

My goal was to find a vacuum with a metal pole attachment, but I liked this one because of its The unfortunate thing is I tried it out instead of just returning it, so this is what I got after using it. A hole is drilled in the bottom so that water can enter the weight area. However, the weights started to rust within hours of usage.
