What does this product do? Does it only increase alkalinity? Is it affecting PH in any way?

Raising alkalinity in this product may only moderately affect PH (it might slightly raise it). Since our water doesn't have the correct balance (high PH, low alkalinity), I must use this product to boost the alkalinity, and then a PH minus to get them back in balance.

Thanks for stopping by! So how are these going? So far, I have put half a bottle of it into my 200 gal spa and the test strip shows that it is still at 50 on Managing people microscopically is my least favorite thing!

Thanks! It works like a charm! While it works well like it should, what they don't tell you is that sodium bicarbonate also known as baking soda is a lot cheaper alternative

My spa was not able to use it

As a result of using this product, my spa's alkalinity did not improve. It was impossible for me not to add more and more. The test strip wouldn't raise up no matter what kind of test strip I tried.

We use it as part of our 350 gallon spa's filtration system to raise alkalinity. pH rises by about 0. 2 with 5 tbs in 350 gallons. It has a pH of about 7 and an alkalinity of * * *BUT. Doesn't baking soda just do the same thing?.

m. It works well and costs less than the spa store. Only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that the product has clumped after a few days. It's the first time that happens to me when I use PH increaser. I don't think it is a big deal because it can all be broken up and dissolved in the hot tub anyway, but it is a little annoying because it isn't really a big deal.
