Questions & Answers

Would you please be able to tell me what percentage of this product consists of sodium carbonate?

If you look at the picture of the bucket carefully and use the magnifier feature at the bottom of the label, it clearly states Sodium Carbonate 100% at the top of the active ingredients list. Based on the images and print, I am assuming that the product picture is from the same format as the label and container of the actual delivered product. The print is small, but it says Please also note that People who complain that this product leaves "CLOUDY WATER" behind should consult a physician. The correct way to add chemicals is to follow these steps It's not possible to open a pool in the spring after it's been sitting all winter, and then add everything all In the first step after starting the filter, you should brush, skim, and vacuum up as much dirt and debris as you can. If all is well, add PH up assuming PH is low - wait 24 hours, test and if all is well, add PH up - Put sodium carbonate in the water A maximum of 3% and no more than manufacturers' limits If no shock is added within 24 hours, add chlorine and shock. By adding an equal amount of bicarbonate with the sodium carbonate, you will get the following results Whether it's sunny or rainy, there will be a pool that's CLOUDY Normally it will take 24 to 48 hours for this to clear by itself. Just let the filter run 24 x 7 for 2, 3 days. Adding anything else will make it look cluttered. Additionally, particles will lodge in your water and cause cloudy water and brown stains on your steps, ladders, and water jets. Upon activation, the copper heater will release copper into the pool, resulting in a staining of everything in the pool. This problem takes several weeks to resolve, is expensive, and a pain in the backside to deal with because special chemicals need to be used to remove the staining, then chemicals to trap the metal particles, and more chemicals to prevent this from happening. It is very easy To proceed to the next step, perform the correct steps add, wait, test, adjust, then proceed to the There are rare occasions when something unusual in the water may react with certain chemicals (organic matter in the water, tree nuts, dead animals at the bottom of the pool, chemicals from a lawn service, unknown sources of chemicals, etc.) By using the best test kit (in reason) and fresh reagents each year, you can improve your accuracy. This method helps you to avoid most disasters and adjust small quantities of chemistry over time, instead of hours or days.

What is the expiration date?

The dry chemicals for pools last several years as long as they are stored properly and away from heat and sunlight A moist environment. Our state of Missouri can go through a lot of PH+.

In order for your pool to remain healthy, it is essential to check its water chemistry frequently
5/5

Swimming is more comfortable and water balance is more important when the pH level is kept at a proper level. It is possible that you will need to raise the pH level at some point in time. A solution that contains Bicarbonate of Sodium (soda ash) is the best way to cope with it, and that is what this product contains. While a number of expensive pH raising products have fancy names, the fundamental ingredient is sodium bicarbonate. In the same way, lowering pH is also beneficial. If you are using sodium bisulfate, then you should also use.

Despite its shortcomings, it works
3/5

In fact, whatever chemical I used worked as expected, so I'm not sure what else I can There are several uses for the bucket that it comes in, and I'll probably find other uses for it once I have used all of the product. It screws on, seals well, and locks in place by pushing a small tab. Plastic bags are actually used in place of chemical containers inside buckets. I think the only way to make this product even better would be if it came with a scoop to help dose the product.

This is a good product
5/5

Please be aware There are both Ph Increasers and Ph Decreasers on the Internet without regard to the A PH Decreaser was supposed to be ordered I gave it to a local swim club since the shipping cost was $10 more than the item's cost It should last 5 years or more with a 45 lb. load. This seems to be a problem with the search.

It wouldn't be possible for you to have a balanced pool without granular chlorine
5/5

You can use granular chlorine not only to add the exact amount of chlorine you need to raise the level in the water to what is needed, you can also use it to get rid of some pink or black algae when you use "Yellow Out. " In my pool, I used two containers to put in Yellow Out, and I shake across the edge of the pool as I put it in. Running the filter for 24 hours and brushing the algae off, then running it for another 24 hours is a good idea. Once that's done, backwash your system.

The baking soda product is excellent
4/5

I have tried to lower the acid in my pool with other products and baking soda is the best one. My previous unit was not doing the job so I decided to buy PH increaser with my money. I am very pleased with the product and it arrived earlier than I expected.

This is a cheap, but messy product
3/5

In terms of the increased it works fine, but the packaging isn't ideal. Despite the picture on Amazon, the box did not come in two large vinyl bags. There was no packaging at all - it came in one large heavy paper bag like a cement bag. Since I needed to use most of it in a bucket from my previous supply to avoid a mess, I poured the majority in there.

A very cloudy day makes it almost impossible to see the bottom of the pool
5/5

As soon as the cloudiness disappears, so does the PH. They are actually pictures from a day after the product was added to the store.
