Several of the gnats we get indoors at night when letting the dogs out have swarmed here in the summer. After purchasing it, I mainly bought it because we've always had swarms of gnats in the summer. The plan was to begin using this early in the season to hopefully head off the larger problem in the warmer summer months, but the outcome remains to be seen. In addition to gnats and smaller moths, it is also great at killing them. It has not been long since we had mosquitoes, so we cannot tell how well it will do with them, but it does the job for what I purchased it Because I worry about something hard damaging the bulb, I just use a piece of straw to knock bugs off sticky grids that get stuck.
