Questions & Answers

What are the indoor uses of this unit?

In both upstairs and downstairs, the BK40 is great. Warning you are about to be Quite a lot of hum is heard. The answer is yes. I've had my HBZ07 for years, but I finally replaced it with a

At what time of day do mosquitoes still seek out the light?

When the UV light shines, a lot of bugs come out to breed at night, but not during the day. Octenol makes it a bug killer but in the daytime, it's not very useful at all. Every morning, the thing is 100% covered and clogged with mosquitoes, and all I can do to remove them is use my data vac to clean it. In my case, I use the 1 acre and the One 5 acre field and both five acre fields are completely covered by morning but are hardly there during the day. Without Octenol they work at night well, but it definitely helps to use it during the night as well. There are a lot of mosquitoes here, and mine only kills a few of them, so if you are not flooded with them, it probably won't do much for you. Whenever I go outside to keep mosquitoes away, I have to use bug spray at noon

In the period of six months since purchasing, the unit stopped working and continues to do so even after getting Do these units have a chance of being ?

For the bulbs to come to life, there is a small internal device that acts as a starter. There seems to be something wrong with that starter. Flowtron should be contacted and the unit should be sent to them

Does this have a reason why it can't be used indoors?

Using mine indoors has been an option for me for years because I don't care about bugs outside. The model is very effective at destroying bugs at any time of the day. There's nothing offensive about it. It is loud when the hum erupts. An insect dies when it flies.

During the review of this report, tens of thousands of bugs were found and fixed
5/5

The product has been in my possession for more than a year (Alexa says 452 days). My home is in the country and I live on the coast of Georgia, so I would imagine lots of bugs. This little bug killer, because where I live it's fairly dark and a great number of bugs are attracted to any light source, even lights on shades, so that at night every type of insect you could imagine crawls all over my home. There is about 0 square feet of property on my property Located on an 8-acre lot, the house is about centered, so there is a lot of front and back yard space. Since I enjoy sitting on my back patio in the evenings, I positioned the unit about 60 to 80 feet away from my rear fence. In the immediate aftermath of the changes, the number of six legged vermin attracted to the backlit windows declined significantly. In the first several weeks, we were continually doused with fried flying fiends. Within a week of installing the traps, I saw a decrease in pests. I am pretty sure even my neighbors, who do not usually leave their lights on after dark, noticed the change. When I first set it up, I used a timer set to between dusk and dawn, but after about a month the timer failed. My computer runs on just 40 Watts 24/7 (it has been on since then). It's important to write a review after I've owned the product for quite some time to see whether the product fails or not. Currently, the bulb just burned out, so I am writing this. In the case of Alexa's light bulb, if she had gotten the number of days right (she seemed pretty sure of herself), then it lasted over 10,000 hours. This is a pretty long time in a climate where most outdoors items degrade very We've had extreme UV or exposure from the sun, a lot of dew, outdoor mold, cold (it may be cold here, but it doesn't last long), lots of rain, and a hurricane, and the only problem is a burnt out bulb after 10,000 hours. In my opinion, 5 stars are definitely deserved. I note that The making of this review resulted in the death of 10's of thousands of bugs. Edit
The math worked out and I decided to add a A good review of this book was found here Based on current math, using a 40W model will make the system pay for itself in 3 months at an average of 12 cents/KWH (the national average). It will also extend the life of the bulb, so the savings will be.

Thanks for reading why this product is the worst, and for any reasons why you shouldn't buy it! It is incredibly disappointing that flowtron does not have a Flowtron BK-90103 flowmeter attracted me to this product due to the product claim that it is highly reliable 99 would be wiped out by 40D
3/5

A total of 9 percent of the mosquito population (plus a lot of other bugs) live in/near/or just by chance accompany the flowtron for the entire acre its surrounding. My husband and I have two acres, so I believed this would be a great weapon to repel the hordes of mosquitoes that unfortunately invade our property every That would cover all of our property, so I decided to purchase two. I am so excited! It was at least wise of me, however, to try just one flowtron at first until I could gain a real sense for how it worked and to get some first-hand experience before I was totally taken in. (I should also mention that this zapper also promised some other things before leaving Good to hear. There were a few things that they sold as true, but they mostly relied on purchasing some other accessories before they would either prove to be true or (more likely) disappoint. The 40D designation. As a result of everything I read about this machine, I truly believed I would be in for something amazing, but boy was I wrong. It wasn't just identical to every other mosquito zapping machine I've ever seen or owned, but it also came with a packet of liquid or something to stick on the machine to attract a cult of kool-aid drinkers You know, like bunnies who drink aid. Actually, after thinking about it, I think it was used for getting giant jumping spiders to commit suicide, (not even joking about that one!) Honestly, we weren't really trying to kill Charlotte and her chubby family members, or at least not for their euthanasia, but I promise you it did come with a package meant to do some sort of major harm to some In spite of all my efforts, the instructions I received about attaching packets and using the original product as intended were so difficult to understand I ended up giving There are more details to this tragedy as well. There is a plot twist! You know how exciting that is, It doesn't make sense. In a few weeks, the stupid thing broke. Furthermore (yes, there's still more to come! examined the machine's success test whether a zapper is actually zapping, the zapper must be viewed with one's own eyes. under the machine and pieces of crusty wings stuck to the machine is exactly the kind of evidence you would need as proof that the zapper is working. Well anyway, every morning, I went out to check the machine to make sure it was working and doing its job. The pang of disappointment would greet me each day as I passed by the zapper. It doesn't seem like there are lots of dead mosquitoes lying around. You do not see any crusty, wrinkled wings in the collage. It is only a flowtron BK-500 I used to be so excited that we would finally be able to "get a handle on that annoying mosquito problem" the day we got that 40D. As our daughter's pool cowers in the background, green with algae, mocks the excitement our children once felt when playing in what was once our backyard, but it is best known as the house of encephalitis, malaria, and ill repute during spring and summer months. This is where one of the most annoying and vile creatures God ever created lives, spread across an area of 81,892 square feet. My digression continues. My point was that the flowtron failed to deliver on its promises of killing all mosquitoes within a mile radius, especially since there were mosquitoes nestling around our This was very sad. It was as if I was watching a mosquito fly around the flowtron, landing on it and then flying away again. I swear I saw that thing laughing hysterically and flipping me off, just taking a break from what was supposed to be the literal representation of a mosquito killing machine. And yet, here it is, just dangling there, watching over all the freaking mosquitoes while they relax whenever they feel like it or whenever they need a break? Let's be real, I mean! If you will, I was just about at the end of my rope at that point. A THING DID HAPPEN. This was about two and a half, or maybe three weeks after I spent the $50, $60, or something along those lines to buy a new flowtron device that I originally believed was going to be our miracle solution. The 40D designation. DAMN, THE DAMN THING HAPPENED! No, I am not kidding you. Right, that's what I was thinking I bought a $60 laptop a few weeks ago, and it broke 3 weeks later! A SPECIALIST CAN ONLY HELP IF YOU HAVE A problem with something electrical! There was a machine, which I know is a zapper, going to be on top when it would be due to be released on December 1 In the – A line of best-in-class This - It doesn't get better than this - #1 Ever Made Bug Zapper supposedly specializing in exterminating mosquitoes humanely. I've had mine for three weeks, and after that it broke! When it was plugged in, it changed from a faint purple to a barely visible white. It was no longer able to zap or kill any bugs. No one was able to help me when I called the number on the website. It would have been better if they replaced it for me, but they wanted me to pay for the replacement up front and then send back the "old" one (though in my mind 3 weeks is in no way "old". 1) If the problem with the "old one" isn't covered under the very very extremely limited warranty, then I'm tasked with paying $60 each, totaling $120. Then I will receive a refund of $60 of the $60 I just paid to replace the zapper if it is covered under the very extremely limited warranty. After receiving this explanation, I was left with no other choice (unless I wanted to hire a private electrician, mechanic, or engineer to fix whatever was wrong with the original, and then I would have to pay their fee for the repair. You're right, of course! I realized that this was a lose-lose situation The loser - The situation ends up being a loss I would lose all my money, I would lose the zapper and I would lose my mind! Since L/L/L is the cheapest option, I decided to stick with it, mainly because it broke my budget and because I didn't want to feel ripped off. The 40D) is a dud! Sucks asses both the company that makes/sells it and the customer service that upholds the worst warranty in history. I hate mosquitoes, but most of all, they HURT A LOT! Then I would definitely not recommend you buy the Flowtron BK-450 Therefore, I recommend you do not purchase the Flowtron BK-05. I recently purchased this product, and it is a total waste of money. As far as this product goes, I am giving it one star, with two additional caveats MOSQUITOES ARE BAD I appreciate you taking the time to read my review. Thank you and have a fantastic.

FROZE OUT ON OUR HOUSE AND NEARLY BURNT IT DOWN
3/5

The only way we could give it a negative rating is to lower it. Throughout the set up process, I followed all instructions. I was able to use it for two weeks without experiencing any problems. The last time we saw it, it wasn't too impressive with its killing skills, but it decided to play it up and actually try to KILL US. A dog refused to step outside when we took the dogs for their last run of the night. We heard a constant buzzing from the zapper and assumed that it was taking care of an army There is no such thing as a free lunch I watched it spark and smoke and then it went up in flames! Having unplugged the demon device and having a hose at the ready, we brought it outside just in case a fire broke out. Thankfully, it extinguished itself and our home is still standing. Naturally we think this death machine will not be a good buy for anyone. It seems the reason you do not notice insects is because you are no longer alive to feed them. Don't do it!.

Mosquitoes are effectively killed by this spray
5/5

The good reviews and the bad ones are both read by me. My fears were a little heightened when I read some of the poor reviews that said this unit would kill everything except mosquitoes. Having heard that others had reported it was great, I then thought it might be a good idea to test it with a plate on the bottom to catch any bugs. The mosquitoes were either exploded or would fall to the ground and go unnoticed, according to my theory. The following morning I had a big pile of dead mosquitos in my The attached photos can be viewed here. There's no doubt about it, it kills mosquitoes really well. After a single night, there was a huge pile of dead. As for the zapper itself, the mosquitoes don't stick so easily to it, and that may be why some other reviews didn't see dead mosquitoes. The coils in which we are trapped only contain moths. In the beginning, I also thought the same thing, until I checked the license For the record, I did not use bait with the basic zapper. As a result, bait could potentially lead to a higher kill count.
