Questions & Answers

How would they work in a hydroponic system where rockwool and hydroton are used as planting mediums?

In this medium, I am not sure if they will grow of course, so you might as well ask the seller.

Is it possible to use these under ultraviolet light indoors?

If there is no light on the soil, you need to water them in cold. Make sure to give them an opportunity to see what the soil is like.

If the plants have already been treated with Mosquito Bits, can I still apply the nematodes?

In fact, nematodes are subterranean worms that won't interfere with pesticide use.

A large number of fungas gnats are living on my Is this something you can apply to your lawn and what would be the best way to do it?

It is not likely that fungus gnats live on your lawn (they don't do well in harsh weather). Aleyrodidae (white flies) are likely to be the culprit. Find out if that sounds familiar by googling them. When they are present, sticky honeydew is left behind where they have fed on plants' foliage. The insects probably nest on nearby flowers and vegetables, but you can find them whenever you want. There will be a voracious appetite for them among ladybugs. With a little bit of soap mixed into the hose end sprayer, and sprayed onto the lawn in the morning or evening, you will destroy many adults and the eggs they Agricultural extension or soil labs) and then to back off on fertilizing the lawn.

I can't believe what a great job they do! As a result of my fungus gnat infestation, I tried both of the following methods When I first bought a house and was faced with plants in my living room, I discovered this insect
5/5

I tried Diatomaceous Earth, which is a miracle substance, but it did not work properly because although it killed the gnats, it created a thick paste, which prevented my plants from receiving water and rooting deeply, which killed one plant and nearly killed the other. In addition to replanting #1, plant number 3 was infected by nematodes. #2, a pair of this mix, is doing nicely and has never seen a gnat. Here is a tip to help you out Katchy can be found on Amazon. Getting all the adult gnats (and other kinds of winged insects as well) will be easy with this contraption. As well, it does a great job. In addition to doing this inside, I also did it outside on our whole property (why not do it big) and noticed a dramatic reduction in flies, earwigs, In recent times, I've re-discovered the art of After I re-soiled a few things I had gnats fly into the house It appears to be larvae coming up from the soil (I know, I know -- It's not a big deal though, since nematodes make them easy to get rid of. followed up on another order and there was a I am pleased to report that everything has improved. There is one tip you should know In the end, I only had a choice of coverage 3x greater than It actually might have been helpful if I had done this In a mulched area outside where I am sure there are many breeding bottle flies, I can keep an eye out for these flies. Since I know so much about nematodes now, I tell everyone I know about them as well. The product has been so satisfying for me that I cannot say enough good things about it.

It's a waste of time and money
3/5

Only one thing I can credit this company with is that they sent me out another free order because I didn't see any results from the first treatment. My problem with soil gnats was recently resolved. Using the first order as described and shown on the instructions worked for me. There is no difference in my experience at all. When I contacted the company, they told me I was supposed to treat them every 2 weeks which is not mentioned in the product description otherwise, I would not have made the purchase. There is a mention of "seasonal" treatments in their description. Treatments should not be biweekly! My soil was once again not treated after receiving their free delivery. I went ahead and treated the soil again with no results. Gnats and larvae appeared unaffected by the insecticide, and it seemed there had been a large outbreak of As a result, they multiplied and never once were impacted by these beneficial nematodes. The money you spent would not be wasted. The Amazing Doctor Zymes is a better option, especially since it is free.

There are nematodes in the soil of San Francisco
5/5

The 50mil SF nematodes I've purchased a few times have proven to be very effective for me. Sticky traps have worked for me. A program called Katchy Bug Catcher has helped me with my bug problem. The soil over the top has been kept covered by fans to keep the air dry so the bugs can't get It has never been possible to resolve this issue using any of these methods. While some will be caught, the population will still continue to The nematodes work within a day of use and give a dramatic improvement. In the first day, it may reduce the population by 75%, and in a few days it may be as low as 90%. It's still not possible to eliminate all the gnats with a single application, so repeated application is needed. The mix I use is 50 mil nematoads for every 5 gal of water. During my experience and opinion, I have found that this is the most expensive, yet only viable method to get rid of gnats.

I am very pleased with the product, but I am especially pleased with the customer service
5/5

Thus, I went out and bought the three-pack to treat my entire backyard and then some more. I erred in ordering these, apparently due to my not paying enough attention. The company contacted me to determine if I could return them for an exchange, and they very kindly informed me that since it was a living organism, it could not be returned, however they would send me what I had intended to order free of charge. These guys were so wonderful it blew my mind. Although my error was my fault, I was completely prepared to have to just suck it up. However, they made it right for me completely and without any problems. It is not one of the sides. There are a lot of weirdo bugs in my yard that I wanted to kill.

My box was dead when I received it! Refunds were issued by the seller, however It is essential for you to have a microscope! In my opinion, nematodes are the best way to kill many pests, but you do need to put them out alive if you want it to work
5/5

Recently, I placed two orders from two different companies, and due to the length of the delivery time and mishandling on the delivery personnel's part, both orders arrived in the Texas 95 degree plus heat dead! So a bit of advice either order them during the cooler months, or get yourself a microscope! The only way you can be sure they are alive before putting them out is to do this.

In the case of IPM, we have the answer
5/5

I've battled a nasty infection of fungus gnats since purchasing a bad bag of potting soil. There were all kinds of tricks I tried, but this one didn't work, even drying out the things, excluding them, and using yellow sticky traps. Having 50 tropical plants in the greenhouse, I knew I had to take a holistic approach to troubleshooting. The nematodes were right on target. It takes only a couple of weeks for the gnats to almost completely disappear after adding the product to the soil. The nematodes have saved the day! I'll monitor the population and eliminate stragglers with yellow traps however, the stragglers must be eliminated.

Nematodes can be purchased from Nature's Good Guys, but not from them
3/5

A fungus infestation led me to order beneficial nematodes (SF) from Nature's Good Guys . I kept them refrigerated, followed written and video instructions closely, and treated our lawn and flower beds in June In 6 weeks, only a small decrease in the gnat infestation has occurred! The nematode spread will fail if you dedicate the money to it and do the work required to spread it. Due to the lack of a phone number, I contacted the company via email. As soon as they received my inquiry, they told me that their products are not guaranteed to work, but they guarantee that they will arrive alive (not sure how that can be determined since the microscopic nematodes are inside a sealed DON'T MISS THIS!.
