We bought this shed to store gardening and potting materials, so we planned to add shelves. The quality of the storage box is better than other boxes I've used in the past. In order to retain floor space in front and in back of a shed, a laminated shelf (which has to be purchased separately) is mounted in the center of the shed. Vertically storing tall items is a good use of this. In order to mount the lower shelf, I bought two wire shelves from Home Depot, each measuring 12" by 48". The shelves had to be cut to 46 inches to fit and I had to put the front lips together in the middle to make them fit together. It can also fit under the back window of our porch because it is short enough. We will be able to use this perfectly. Having trouble with the instructions for the arm that props the lid open was the only issue I had with the assembly. Putting the arm in the slot on the side wall and closing it with the other end is required before the lid can be attached.
My purpose for getting this shed was to store a large dual fuel generator, and it worked well. My plan is to order another one to store a large snow plow and My garage will be cleaner now that they're out of my hands. The fact that not only the front doors, but also the roof open is very appealing to me. It stands out well against the white vinyl fence surrounding it.
The hinges of this product aren't the best because it is likely to be fine in most weather, but very cold (single digit) weather will not enhance performance. If you live in a very cold climate, you should find a storage bin without hinges (molded).
It fits all my pool / spa items perfectly. The quality is good and the construction is sturdy. It was a good choice for the purpose I needed it for to buy two shelves too.
The product assembly was impossible because it did not line up with the holes, so I had to create holes to complete it. There is no alignment between the parts. I spent a lot of money on it, but here you can see several places where even the cheap product isn't worth The product was very very very disappointing.
I liked the ease of assembly with this storage bin. It wasn't too heavy, but did not feel solid like something made of The kind of storage that would be suitable for a light backyard. It suits my purposes well, I like it. When the first real storm hits this winter, I hope it holds up well.
It's a nice size and it's easy to put together.
The crates have a lot of space for storage and are easy to assemble.
