I'm very impressed with the propane fire pit I bought! After hearing that the burner on the 870 has an 11 inch circle rather than an 8 inch square and puts out the same BTU rating, and comes with a steel lid, carrying strap, and autoigniter instead of the MEGA's 3, I decided against the MEGA. My goal was to have a portable fire that is a nice size. I love this fireplace! As a result, I want to purchase the vinyl carrying bag separately, as it will allow me to be more portable and store more items. A reminder that the update for February 26th is below. Although I still like the product, regardless of whether a damaged one is shipped to you or not, you are rolling the dice. Unfortunately, it comes packaged in very poor condition on Amazon. Due to the fact that we have been camping for the past six weeks, and we were not allowed open fires, we bought it for safety reasons. My initial response was “I’m not really thrilled,” since I love wood campfires, but I wouldn't use anything else after this! This wickless heater has a wide range of flame heights, a lid so it can be turned off, and it comes with a match kit. Fire is now completely out without having to be sure that it is completely extinguished. In addition to serving as a propane tank cover, it also serves as a small side table. Featuring a cup holder to hold your glass of wine, this fire pit is absolutely gorgeous and I highly recommend it.

A day before we left, we stopped at Trinity Lake, which is located at an altitude of 7,500 The flame was on high, but at that altitude, it wasn't as high as you might think, but we still were able to roast s'mores over it. If you are going to carry it around, I recommend getting some sort of carry bag. There is a 33 gallon plastic garbage bag you can buy or you can use the one they sell. Our enclosed truck bed would have seen dust particles from the fake rocks that came with it while they were in transit, and we didn't want that stuff in there. In our case, we used a garbage bag, which tore to shreds on our trip, so we'll probably get the carry-on bag next time. There are straps that work well and are very stiff, so the lid can be challenging to attach but I'd rather deal with that and make sure the lid doesn't come off while I'm carrying it Also, it was easy to get started. It would be appropriate for backcountry camping to have a fire pit like this.

I love this fire pit for the patio at home because it is the perfect size for us two. There is no doubt that it puts out a lot of heat and many people around it will be pleased. Our family will use it on vacations in the RV or during visits. Despite its portability, it is very robust. Taking the propane bottle would be the most challenging part.
