Questions & Answers
Any propane heater can easily be calculated to determine how long it will last. Gases such as propane have an energy capacity of 91,000 BTU per gallon. 20 pounds is a standard weight. About 4 gallons of propane can be stored in a propane tank. A tank with a BTU output of 91,000 times four equals 364,000 BTUs. If you turn up the heat, this firepit will burn 58,000 BTUs per hour, so divide 364,000 by 58,000 and you get just less than 6 hours of continuous use. Turning down the heat will save you a few hours of use.
In spite of not being measured, it is approximately 14 inches in diameter and about 8 inches
It measures 19 inches across the top and 30 inches across the bottom for the Outland Firebowl Kerrisdale. There is no significant difference between the flame height in our current propane fire pits, since all of them have 58,000 BTUs.
To attach the hose to the fire pit, you will need a new hose that has quick connect on one end and the proper type of thread on the other end. With the rev propane, you do not need the regulator that comes with the fire pit. Instead, you use the propane from the rev. Many of my LP accessories have been made in this way.

In a nutshell, Portable fire pit of a very high quality. My surprise is that it is larger than I imagined, but it is not so big that I can't handle it. As this Premium version is the same price as the Deluxe version, but it has a higher model number, I was a little confused at first. My original plan was to get the other one, but I have only been able to find a difference between this one and the other it has an igniter, whereas the other requires you to light it is the same model sold by Costco, and for me, that goes a long way. In the back yard and while camping at a municipal park without fire rings, we initialized it in our backyard, and then ran it in our RV in our backyard. S'mores were made and marshmallows were toasted, and we enjoyed the firelight without any In addition to using less propane, it had no use above medium, since we never let it get above that setting. It was burned at a low setting so as to conserve energy.
It was warm for the cold mornings, and we also used it to roast chicken. Since there was a burn ban, we were the only ones brave enough to light a fire (because of a campfire ban), so I guess that not many have gotten the There are a few things to consider, such as the quality construction, rocks, a cap and straps for transport, and a substantial cost difference between this pit and others (other pits did not come with a cap and straps, nor were they built as well as this one). In the summertime, it can also be used as a fire pit in our backyard. This is definitely a project I would recommend to anyone.
I'm very impressed with the propane fire pit I bought! After hearing that the burner on the 870 has an 11 inch circle rather than an 8 inch square and puts out the same BTU rating, and comes with a steel lid, carrying strap, and autoigniter instead of the MEGA's 3, I decided against the MEGA. My goal was to have a portable fire that is a nice size. I love this fireplace! As a result, I want to purchase the vinyl carrying bag separately, as it will allow me to be more portable and store more items. A reminder that the update for February 26th is below. Although I still like the product, regardless of whether a damaged one is shipped to you or not, you are rolling the dice. Unfortunately, it comes packaged in very poor condition on Amazon. To give as a present to my sister, I ordered another one of these. After having her open it for the BIG disappointment, she found that the product had been As I noticed, I'd read other reviews similarly to this one in which people received damaged firepits. As soon as it arrived, I wish I had opened it right away so I could have tried to get her an undamaged one before In response to such an order, you assume it will not be damaged when it arrives. Make sure you are buying from a trustworthy source! Due to the poor packaging damage and no response from Amazon, I am taking away a star. Those images can be seen here.
Due to the fact that we have been camping for the past six weeks, and we were not allowed open fires, we bought it for safety reasons. My initial response was “I’m not really thrilled,” since I love wood campfires, but I wouldn't use anything else after this! This wickless heater has a wide range of flame heights, a lid so it can be turned off, and it comes with a match kit. Fire is now completely out without having to be sure that it is completely extinguished. In addition to serving as a propane tank cover, it also serves as a small side table. Featuring a cup holder to hold your glass of wine, this fire pit is absolutely gorgeous and I highly recommend it.
I was 19 years old when I wrote this It is a good idea to have a fire bowl that is an inch wide. I really like that there is no issue with igniting and adjusting the burner, and it is a good thing that there is a stainless steel burner There are no signs of rust. Flames are good at high temperatures. In a previous review, I gave it a 3-star rating. Changing my mind was the right thing to do. There is nothing I don't like about this.
A day before we left, we stopped at Trinity Lake, which is located at an altitude of 7,500 The flame was on high, but at that altitude, it wasn't as high as you might think, but we still were able to roast s'mores over it. After nightfall, the flame was more than sufficient at Anderson Reservoir (closer to 3,000 feet), even with the flame on medium. If you are going to carry it around, I recommend getting some sort of carry bag. There is a 33 gallon plastic garbage bag you can buy or you can use the one they sell. Our enclosed truck bed would have seen dust particles from the fake rocks that came with it while they were in transit, and we didn't want that stuff in there. In our case, we used a garbage bag, which tore to shreds on our trip, so we'll probably get the carry-on bag next time. There are straps that work well and are very stiff, so the lid can be challenging to attach but I'd rather deal with that and make sure the lid doesn't come off while I'm carrying it Also, it was easy to get started. It would be appropriate for backcountry camping to have a fire pit like this.
It's a good idea to spray soapy water on. A very thorough set of There are two size options for the fire stones - medium and large EXTRAS ARE ALSO INCLUDED. Rather than a straight tube, the gas tube is shaped like a ring, which evenly distributes the flame. Make sure to spray soapy water on all joints to ensure that no leaks are present. (There were no leaks )Some people have had issues with the The igniter functions when you slowly turn the dial so that the gas has a chance to flow through it. I have had good luck with mine. It is convenient to have the included strap for portability. This is NOT intended to be left out in the sun or exposed to the elements - I found it quite surprising There is a strap to carry it. It is very portable since I use a tiny 5 lb propane tank. It is expected that I will get 3 I have four 30-minute meetings today. In the spring and fall, spending time by the pond takes no more than a minute per refill. We're curious to see whether Koi are attracted to flames in the water.
I love this fire pit for the patio at home because it is the perfect size for us two. There is no doubt that it puts out a lot of heat and many people around it will be pleased. Our family will use it on vacations in the RV or during visits. Despite its portability, it is very robust. Taking the propane bottle would be the most challenging part. It is easy and quick to build a While I still haven't gauged how propane usage compares to carrying logs to the fire, I'm pretty sure it outweighs carrying logs. And although I appreciate a real fire, this won't leave you smelling like one.
