It looked really cool when I laid them out. There is fluttering. I ended up with a colorful garden after being ravaged by deer. A week later, some of the ones with a double wing lost the bottom wing on one side. I had to flush out some wings, so the area wouldn't be littered with butterfly wings with half of them missing. It took them a month to fade away. It does not matter if they are metallic or not. I don't think they lasted very long. In spite of the dragonfly exception, they are still lovely. you are setting up one for a party or an event, this would be best. As long as you keep them indoors, you should be fine. But if kept outside, they won't last a season.

Certain areas of the outdoors are not appropriate for use. There are some that are not sturdy enough to hold plants. They look cheap and have no use for plant accessories. Any outdoor weather will not be able to hold up.
