A festival vendor gave my husband a balloon spinner, which he loved so much it inspired me to order this one. The spinner wouldn't spin for me and I was extremely disappointed. It almost came to the point where I thought I would replace the center rod with string, as another reviewer had done after experiencing the same issue. Upon further inspection, however, I realized that the other balloon spun from a 360° hook while the one spinning here had to spin itself around the As a result, my balloon rotates with the slightest breeze now that the 360° hooks are installed! It would be nice if the manufacturer had included the hook automatically, so that unhappy customers wouldn't arise. Before I started hacking away at my balloon, I realized that all I needed was a special hook.

It looks nice, but it doesn't turn as well as the more expensive ones (I have both). Unlike the slits, which catch the wind, these aren't as exposed to the wind. It turned out that I had to spray WD40 and add a swivel coupling (like the more expensive models have). When there is a stiff breeze, it works well.
