Wind won't move it much when there isn't much of it. A strong wind moves more than a weak one. This is a very good quality product! It's great! I have mine on a 20' pole, but your 18' will work fine as well.

In the midst of COVID 19, I thought I could use this to cheer myself up. Free shipping made it possible for II to arrive super fast. It was pleasantly surprising to see how high the quality was. Although I could have gone cheaper, I'm glad I didn't since it is an American company, it is beautifully embroidered with sturdy fabric, and the colors are bright and vibrant. Another company had to order one for me. A painted Lone Star appeared on the wind sock, and the fabric was not as sturdy as it should be. In truth, the Texas sky is clear, blue, and beautiful as they fly high during this Labor Day celebration. Thank you for your service to our nation!.

So far I love this wind sock so much that I plan on getting another At close to $100, it's not particularly expensive, and the Stars and Stripes pattern is certainly attractive. As for its durability, I'm not quite sure, but at that price, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with a different In my experience, I have seldom given such high marks to any product.

My goal was to scare away woodpeckers and birds with this

As it turned out, I bought this to scare off the woodpeckers from pecking on my house and to stop the birds from pooping on the siding, but you know what? That didn't work. Worked like a charm! It is true that you need some wind before they are afraid of it but here in Michigan, we experience brisk winds most of the time. It looks very nice flapping in the wind and I have witnessed woodpeckers and other bird do a 180 when they approach the house. That would be a scary thing to hear, even in the absence of wind! A brief update My windsock has been here for two summers now and it's nearly all white, ripped and faded. So as far as fade resistance and tear resistance go, it doesn't really measure up.

Various wind directions have been encountered by Windsock. There was hot weather, cold weather, heavy rain, and strong winds. No entanglements have occurred with it since it was mounted on a windsock pole. The product was good. I'd buy it.

We love the American flag windsock on our deck. It's of good quality and looks beautiful waving in the breeze. Compared to most windsocks, which have only a few streamers, I really enjoy this one's 10 streamers. Because of the rainy day, this picture does not render this experience accurately. The flag is beautifully made, and I was very surprised by that.
