This morning, I received my crystals. 2 days early, to be exact. I'm a big fan of what you've done so far. They're absolutely breathtaking. I ordered them because my grandmother used to have one in her kitchen window when I was a kid. I used to watch all the little rainbows with it first thing in the morning. She died a few years ago, so receiving this makes me feel as if she is still with me. Now I'll be able to show them to my grandchildren.
Both are hung together in the video and spin together.
In a nutshell, here's what I'm going to say. Take a look at these images. I spent the entire night researching on Amazon before deciding on these and was anticipating their arrival with bated breath. I'm not sure if they'd be worth it. I unpacked these babies about 20 minutes ago, and the first thing I did was place them on my China cabinet's glass shelf with my Waterford crystal. I wanted to see them up close and personal. They appear to be the same high-quality crystal as mine. It's impossible for me to believe. You'll receive two in a nice box, safely packed.
These have me completely enamored! I used clear fishing line to connect the two of them and draped it over my window's lock. My room is full of tiny rainbows when the sun shines on them. Those rainbows dance when the breeze blows!.
It definitely detracts from the prism's beauty. Otherwise, it's a nice glass piece, but because of the flaws, I wouldn't give it as a gift.
I love crystals, especially balls like this that you can hang in the window to create a prism disco ball effect; I already have one crystal ball that I bought years ago, so the order here (for two more) was to help me create an even bigger light show. These two balls came packaged in a nice box with a soft cloth to protect them and two short lengths of fishing line, but no hook, clip, or suction cups to mount them. Except where they've been drilled with holes to hang them, the balls are of excellent quality. The holes are unpolished and have a jagged edge on the inside and outside. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase, but be aware that the edges are a little rough. In a literal sense.
Prior to gifting, I did remove them from the box to inspect them. I looked for the following things. Scratches, "sparkle," and the ability to throw rainbows are all features of this character. br>br>First and foremost, they are packaged in a classy black box. I could live without the large gold-foil logo on the front, but whatever. A microfiber cleaning cloth and monofilament to hang the prisms are included when you open the box. The prisms themselves are safely nestled in the box, each with its own little nest, ensuring that they will not roll around during shipping. I took them outside to my kitchen and propped them up in the late-afternoon sunlight. The entire area was turned into a rainbow palace in an instant. They have the same weight and brilliance as my more expensive Swarovski prisms. The only drawback I found was: The hole isn't drilled as precisely as the ones on my more expensive pieces. One of them had a slight angle drilled into it. Unless you're the one threading it, no one will notice, and even then, it'll be so minor that it won't make a difference. At this price (less than ten dollars), they're an absolute bargain. br>br>When the recipient saw the box, she made an "ooOOOOoooohhhh" sound (so the gold foil is a plus), and she was legitimately worried as she opened it ("You didn't need to get me anything so nice!! She mistook them for Fancy (capital F fancy), and I had to reassure her that they were an absolute steal on Amazon. Success!.
She's used my husband's prisms for her students in the past. I saw this and decided to get it for her as a Christmas present. Then I remembered her birthday was in late November, right after mine, and I went looking for a prism everywhere. I couldn't find one I liked or thought she'd like until I came across these. These looked fantastic, so much so that I ordered two of them. I decided to give one to our daughter as a present. br>br>I gave this to a friend of ours who is a teacher, and she had them up in her classroom the next day. Her students were the ones who did it, and they were all very pleased with themselves. You get two of these in a lovely velvet-lined box. They appear to be heavy, and boy, do they skew the colors. They appear to be of a high standard.
