The tape is sticky, but I would think it wouldn't hold up over time.

I had a hard time staying away from the grass blades before I married the two pieces together because the sticky glue was so strong. is woven in a strong manner and has a 6" width which is plenty wide. As a result of high temperatures on the day we utilized it, some of the adhesive melted and became a bit.
It sticks to my fingers real hard. The first time I used it, the tape stuck to my fingers, and I found it impossible to peal it off. If it sticks to itself, there's no way to undo it unless one cuts off the portion that sticks to itself. Having said that, this tape DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. Therefore, keep your eyes peeled to avoid making mistakes.
