The box is light weight, so I wouldn't recommend using it outside. A strong wind will cause the boxes to blow away. They'll become the centerpiece and I will insert pretty colored lights into them. The lights in the room were not working, so I rated it 2 stars. It is not something I would purchase again on the internet or another similar product.

You have to turn them on every time. As for the switch, I wish I didn't have to turn them on every now and then because where I have it is very tricky to reach.

The boxes were made of thin plastic and could not be used outdoors due to the wind blowing them away, but were quite nice indoors as they provided light and warmth next to the trees.
