My previous flag lasted only until we had a rainstorm with this flag and then it started to fall apart. I was so pleased to have found this alternative. My first impression when I opened the package was that the flag was much thicker and heavy duty than the previous one I bought. There are no printed stars on this flag since the stars are stitched into the fabric. Our stormy weather has turned to rainfall, snow, and a mild windstorm since this piece was delivered and installed the same day. Even though it has all that going for it, this flag still looks fantastic. Although we had to wash the flag because some birds had pooped on it, even after putting it through the washer and hanging it up to dry, the flag itself still looks fantastic. This is absolutely fine after I pulled it through the wash. I inspected it carefully after taking it out of the washer. The garment must not have loose stitching, tearing, ripping, or any other flaw. This looks great even after all these years.
It is supposed to be made in the United States, which is why I purchased There was no labeling on the packaging since it arrived in a small vacuum-packed plastic bag. Considering this, it is likely that it was imported from China in bulk and not the I also found it to not be as heavy duty or as nice as the one it replaced.
