Originally, this was intended for my gazing ball which had a bottom that was 2 and a half inches wide. As you can see, I had to remove the rubber cap at the end to get it to fit in the stand, so it isn't quite 2 and 3/4 inches wide at the base where you place the gazing ball. In order to keep the ball in place, I intend to use some epoxy to seal it. The stand suits my other gazing ball so well, that I plan on getting another one for it. There are two rods that connect the two stands that are missing from the box of the second stand I purchased. We do not want to return it, we just want the pieces sent that are missing. Cannot figure out how to get the item shipped. It would be helpful if there was a way to contact the seller of this item. I had to go back to the drawing board to make another stand since the bottleneck of the gazing ball on this one was different. We hoped to place the gazing ball into the hole, but my hand placed glass gazing ball broke while trying to do so. There is no way to repair it, and the gazing ball costs $50, which is a letdown because the other one works.
My ball looks even more attractive when I have it on.
Purchased the Achla Designs Petals Gazing Globe Ball Stand and a few Echo Valley balls for Mother's Day as gifts. It turns out that the ball base of the Echo Valley stand is too large to fit completely into it.
It is beautiful. The stand is beautiful and sturdy.

It started when I purchased this petaled stand along with a crackle gazing globe. Gift of rubies on your wedding anniversary. As a side I've used it for several years without any issues. It has been out in the rain for many days and didn't rust for a single second.
There were strong winds, but the fence did not move. This is one of my favorites!.
The design of this globe stand is nice it's at the right height but, unfortunately, the top portion that holds the globe doesn't tighten properly, so it's unstable. I will return it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well, as I like the idea but it doesn't come together.
It is a very pretty item. It seems fairly sturdy although I chose to put it on the side of our home vs out front as I wasn't sure if it would stay upright in the event of strong winds given that the feet are embedded in The statue is beautiful and looks great beside.
