Questions & Answers

Would it fit under a door? If it were this thick, would it fit?

There is about an inch of thickness to it. We have it outside, so it doesn't have a door that goes I'm going to tell you that this is the best rug that you can put outside your door, and it is made in the United States. As we discovered, this product works well in keeping grass clippings and mud out of your house as well as keeping you safe from slipping when it's icy and snowy. The only thing to worry about is GrassWorx burying your mess. The number is now 2 and we're on our way to the third.

If there's a windy day, I like this mat for washing dirt off my shoes, but it blows off the deck. Do you know anything like that that has a more sturdy backing to hold it?

My downs are held down using silicone adhesive. I don't think you need to get crazy about Having done this for years, I know what it is like. You can also have someone cut you a piece of plywood that is about the same size as the mat and glue it The wind will no longer blow it away either way.

If you board a boat, can you use it to wipe off and dry(ish) your shoes when you go from the dock to the What is the water handling capacity of this device? What is the floor like? Is it slippery?

My printer is set up on the patio of my house. In spite of almost never getting wet, there is no doubt that this is a waterproof jacket. You can use it to easily scrub dirt, mud, sand, and sand from your shoes. It looks like stiff plastic grass. There's not much absorbent material in it, so I doubt your shoes will be dry after using it. Since it is as heavy as it is, I doubt that it will slide around until the floor is extremely slippery. I am very pleased with how well it works and it holds up

What type of drainage is provided by this mat? There is a spot in my door where it gets rained on occasionally, and the current mat, which I need, simply traps the rainwater. ?

I think it drains well. At high altitude, we are exposed to full sunshine. I will need to obtain items that have a soft, rubber backing in order to stick It's not like the mats stick to the deck at all, but once the water drains out they will get wet. In a recent rainstorm, I moved them aside and let the bottoms dry for about 10 minutes after the rain stopped. This product is great, and it lasts for about 3 years I spent five years in direct sunlight. We'd probably have to go longer if it weren't there.

If you buy this, you will be glad you did
5/5

This doormat is a great choice if you live on a farm like we do, where dirt, mud and grit are regularly tracked inside your house. I love how durable it is. It has been years since we had a smaller one of these that has stood up well, and so we moved the smaller one to the side entrance because we needed a bigger one at the front As soon as I shake it off, it traps dirt like crazy, so I need to shake it back out every now and then. This mat is awesome for people like me who track through chicken and horse poop all day long. The texture really gets into your boot treads to rid your boots of dirt, and it really scuffs your boots with ease. It would be great if they were available in even bigger sizes (I got the 24 x 36 one). The price was very good, and you will be pleased you bought it.

It is so nice to have this mat around! This mat is designed to be used as a scratch pad for my potbelly pigs, which I keep outside in a fenced yard
5/5

There are a lot of mats out there that are designed specifically for that purpose, but they are very expensive. This mat works great and is incredibly affordable! Each of the three parts fit around the bottoms of the fence posts after being cut into three pieces. These have been the perfect scratching posts after getting out of their mud baths, as my kids have spent hours scratching on them! So far, both the 80# and 120# pigs have scratched on each section of mat without problem, so I think these mats will stand up to My plan is to get more, and to put them along the walls of their brand new Pig Palace! We should probably add a boot scraper by the back door for scraping pig or dog.

This American classic is made in the USA
5/5

An outdoor rug like this is unsurpassed in quality and design. This rug has been made in St. Louis, Missouri, with love for decades, making it one of the world's oldest rugs. In addition to Astroturf, this company invented a number of other products. The American spirit doesn't get any more evocative In one corner was a daisy on green with these, as they had one of these ones during my grandparents' time. You should give this company all the money you can. Your shoes deserve to be clean, and you deserve not to track mud and grass into your home. All of these things will not be done by any other outdoor rug. Now is the time to buy.

This tool is excellent for scraping gum off of shoe treads
5/5

The mats of other shoes simply scrape off mud and dirt stuck to the bottom of the foot. There is usually no damage to tread material stuck in its groove. There are firm plastic grasses on this mat that look like rough Astroturf- It's like a blade that scrapes the tread and removes junk. The mats are utilitarian, while decorative mats only make your home, shop, or office look more attractive. They will reduce the amount of dirt tracked into your home, shop, or office.

Keeping dirt out is a great feature
5/5

This is a travel trailer we bought from another source a few years ago. When you pick them up and shake them out, you'd be surprised at how much dirt and sand comes out of them. Throughout the house, my wife would complain about the dirt I tracked in. I persuaded her to place your welcome mats down despite her preference for decorative mats. A solution has been found to the problem.

The dirt is trapped! Campers NEED to bring these items! This is the best mat I've ever seen
5/5

The dirt in our RV could not be kept out using a few different methods. There is no other mat that traps dirt as well as this one!! It seems very sturdy, and although I just got it, I expect it to last a long time. I love the shade of grey it matches with the decor in our backyard. As well as these, I will buy more of them for outside my front door at my home.

I'm blown away by these mats
5/5

There is a major construction project going on as well as two dogs to take care of. You can find red clay all over Virginia. Throughout the years, I have tried several mats and previously owned two mats costing $80 each. These mats are far superior to those of the past. The surface dirt, gravel, and grass would be cleaned off the shoes, but that would only be for surface dirt. There is something very nice about the new mats. You can stand on them while wiping your feet and getting all four paws of your dog. This is the first time I have cleaned them. Those old shoes looked brand new after just a quick rinse with the hose. The material is excellent and the construction is heavy-duty. An amazing value for money.

Does this look like Astroturf? It seems to work well, seems tough, wishes it would last
5/5

Although this mat does not meet my expectations when I ordered it, it is not what I expected. As a professional athlete, I thought that Astroturf field would have characteristics similar to what I had imagined, as it is notorious for professional sports. As a result, I was hoping for something that looked and performed like a good, thick bluegrass lawn, which is the perfect sports field. It is densely packed, with blades that are nearly straight up, perhaps an inch and a half high. The blades are moderately thick, strong, and resilient. The mat I'm talking about is not quite that. This mat is only 3/4" thick and not very high, and there are kinks in each of the plastic blades, with their partway fold roughly coordinated with where the blades are kinked. (Maybe to give the surface some bounce or spring? 2) The closing Taking a look at the picture at the top of the product listing page actually explains all of this pretty well. Upon receiving the mat, I noticed it, however I hadn't looked at it before then! If I were to use this mat material for a football field, I am not sure how impressed I would be. As an outside doormat, it seems to work fine. Its sea of kinked blades makes an excellent surface to wipe and clear off the bottom of your shoes/feet - even when wet. By trapping and holding any debris down, they can keep it from moving. Although I have not yet tested it, it seems pretty certain that this mat will be easy to clean at the end of the day, by turning it over and shaking or beating it out when necessary. The doormat works well, and it seems to be a nice arrangement. I'm still not certain about what Astroturf looks like, while at the same time I'm not sure about what Aeroturf really is at all. The mat may be Astroturf (some kind of) or if it is simply an imitation of it. The Astroturf website has a lot of information about its products about about half a dozen different varieties are listed, and it says quite a lot about how wonderful they all are. However, there is not a single picture of what any of them appear to be! It's pretty evident that the Astroturf folks do not believe that their product is attractive I would have to agree with them if this doormat is made out of Astroturf Although it might look like grass if it were all bright grass green, it sure doesn't look like long In any case, if that's all these people play on, they're probably pretty good, or else they wouldn't have such a big name ahead of them. It's a good doormat, and this mat, material, whatever it is, seems to work perfectly.

So I give it Despite only being tentative, I want to check how well and how long this works. Prior to this doormat, our old, much less fancy doormat lasted somewhere around 15 years before crumbling under foot traffic and sun exposure. The Astroturf here sure ought to at least match the one used for playing football and the like if it is actually Astroturf. It will be interesting to see what happens!.
