Product Description

The 3 feet 5 inch) privacy slat designed to fit 3ft 11 or 9 gauge chain with a It also works with version The time is between 500 AM and 1200 PM Although there is a larger diamond in the 5 gauge wire, it will have a lesser degree of privacy.
There are 1 slats in each slat. In chain link with a 2" diamond, the wide, bottom-locking Ridged Slats will provide about 85 per cent blockage. When slats are installed in chain link mesh with a 2-1/4" diamond, approximately 80% of the mesh will be covered. A 2-3/8 inch diamond at the end of the slats will produce about 75% privacy in economy chain link fabric. The size of a diamond is determined by measuring diagonally between parallel wires, and NOT from
In each box you will find 82 "W" slats and three 42" lengths of Viper Channel - enough to hide 10 linear feet of chain link with a diamond pattern of 2 inches. With a chain link with a larger diamond mesh pattern, fewer slats will be needed, but every piece of track will be used. In order to cover 10 feet of 2-1/2" chain link, about 77 slats will be required. A 10-foot chain link fence made out of 2-3/8" chain link will use around 74 slats. For those who need more than one Viper Channel, it is available separately. You'll have less privacy if you choose a larger diamond.
In order to protect our customers from the sun's harmful effects, our slats are manufactured using HDPE (high density polyethylene) produced in the USA, a color concentrate, and UV inhibitors. Slats covered by Ripped Slats have a 30-year warranty - the best warranty in the industry. Whilst claims are very rare, they do occur. All kinds of weather and climate conditions can be handled by HDPE privacy enhancements. By adding slats, the wind load on the fence increases it is the fence owner's responsibility to be sure that their fence can withstand the additional load.
Comparing other vertically inserted slat designs to Ridged Wall Slats, Single Wall Bottom Lock Ridged Slats give the most privacy for the money. In addition to saving material and reducing shipping costs, the wider extrusion is able to pack more slats in a smaller box to protect the slats. As a result, Ridged Slats are a more affordable option for homeowners, schools, colleges, businesses, stadiums and storage facilities. Ridged Slats are a permanent addition to fencing that lasts much longer than wind screens and privacy tapes.

Questions & Answers

It is strange that there are only 10 ft of locking per box with 84 slats. A 10 section can be made of 42 slats, so that would be 20 feet, correct?

In every box there are 82 slats, as well as 3 pieces of 42-inch For 10 feet of standard chain link fence with a two inch diamond, 82 slats are required. The track will be left over in small amounts. For lighter chain link with a larger diamond, you could use fewer slats (10 feet can be as few as 74) The track will be used to its full extent, while there will still be To overcome this problem, we strongly recommend purchasing additional Viper Channel if you plan to use these slats for chain link with a 2-inch chain link gate There are three diamond patterns on a 3/8-inch square. When it comes to diamond size, the difference between the two parallel wires is decided by the thickness of each wire. From corner to corner, NOT from top to bottom.

This item includes the bottom part, or do I need to purchase it separately?

This comes with a bottom piece into which the slats fit. In the case of fences bent up at the bottom, we would have difficulty using them.

There's one part of my fence that's not even ground, but it curves up and down the slope. Is this going to work in that scenario?

If there is a slight slope or even a slight rolling slope, slats will perform well. The installation of your chain link depends on how it was done. The easiest way to tell if your diamonds are horizontally stacked is to look at their position. You can use a piece of straight wood or a tape measurer to measure the angles of several diamonds if you run it along the top and bottom corners. You should be able to use slats in your fence if the diamonds are aligned straight up and down. You need to keep in mind that your slats will be aligned with the top and bottom corners of the diamonds on your fence. Whether it will work or not depends on the fence you have. If in doubt, send us a picture.

How do you install the locking pieces, are they included in the price, or will you have to purchase them separately? When the locking pieces are assembled, how long will they be?

My locking pieces were 4 feet long (I was unable to lengthen them) and I had to trim a couple of them. Set that has very high durability.

Install was easy, and so far everything appears to be in order
5/5

My experience with this product has been very positive It has been about two months since I installed the slats. I needed clarification from the seller on what gauge my fence is, which is size 8 he was very kind to provide it. In the Q&A section you can see the complete answer It does say to install with a wire gauge up to 12 gauge on the listing, but I had no problem installing them even with that wire gauge. They were even installed on one of the hottest and wettest days of the year in this area. During the growth phase of the bushes I planted, I wanted these to provide some privacy. Our home is on a corner, and I wanted my German Shepherd to have more of a buffer between him and the small children Both of these issues have been solved by this technique. The slats are thin, but they seem to be sturdy, though I will need to update this review after a year or two of use after I see how they hold up to winter weather. As of the time I ordered, Amazon was offering the best price for the slats I was looking for online. I'm pleased with my.

This is an extremely easy to install product
5/5

There is a slight incline in the 6' chain link fence I've got. A bend and kink in the mesh is evident. My hands are affected by early arthritis, I am more than 50 years old, and I stand at 5'8". Taking care of this project was a breeze! took me only a couple of hours to cover two sections of fence on the street side (with some help for the guide channel at the bottom) in order to shield an area where our firepit sits. My foot guided the slat through any rough spots and I was able to snap it into the bottom perfectly once I got it started at the top. Stooping or bending is not allowed. There is so much I enjoy about it, I can't wait Although you can still see outward through the slats if you need to, you can't see what's going on behind them from the road. This is exactly what we are trying to achieve. Those colors complement the siding that I have well, because they are sand-beige. I am happy with the purchase. It arrived promptly and was The problem is not my fault.

This is an easy to install product

The slats are used to simulate the look of a metal fence on a chain link I wanted to make a vertical fence but the cost of a metal fence is prohibitive, so I bought some slats. In order to protect my privacy, I did not use them. In the photograph you can see that they fit through the chain link fence very easily, and they are placed around 4" apart. This is a good result for me.

The installation is easy and the design is attractive
5/5

There are some basic privacy benefits to this product and it is very easy to use. The privacy will not be total, but it will be sufficient. If you want more privacy, you'll need plantings, and if you need something with maximum wind flow, get another product. We live in South Florida and therefore needed something with good wind flow. Adding these slats to a chain link fence we replaced a wood option with chain link. Those flowers give the fence a beautiful look!.

I really like the way this looks and how easy it is The goal was to reduce the number of visual distractions for the dogs in the yard, and this could be a potential solution
5/5

The installation took a couple of days (it is hot at the moment), and I had to break it up. The fence on our property is over 40 years old, so it's not even or level, and it's got some wobbly spots. In some areas, I decided to install them with the locking guards mounted at the top - it worked well. Although it is a bit more difficult to weave the slats, they still lock down well. The colors we selected match the trim on our house, and the result looks fantastic! The solution we have chosen is so appropriate that we're installing another 100 feet until we're completely satisfied. Our dogs love the way the fence looks, and we like the look of it too. It isn't a 100% visual block, but it's more than enough to keep our dogs from getting excited when stray dogs come into our yard.

I love the way it looks, is easy to install, and is very durable
5/5

There were about 70 feet of tan slats that we installed. I appreciated how easy it was to install the slats and how well they fit. A view of our neighbor has been blocked by a fence we installed between us and them. A bonus is that it makes for a beautiful looking back-plate As well as landscaping, we receive a drop. We should be able to reduce some of the dirt and weed seeds that wind up on The supplier and product are highly recommended, at least for me. As well as the product, the packaging was excellent.

The value is excellent and the installation is simple
4/5

After you have installed the first slat, you can use the bottom channel to keep the bottom aligned. Installation was easy once you have installed the first slat. It only took me about an hour to install about 15 feet due to the plastic's elasticity. I used a straightedge and marker to make a flat line and then I used sharp garden scissors to cut the top to contour a flat line. For now, it looks good and blocks my dog from easily seeing out to the street. A simple solution that doesn't cost much money.

This is excellent
5/5

Despite the fact that my fence is uneven and jagged at the bottom, it was hard to slide the locking channel into. The slats are very easy to install and look great. I didn't use the locking channels because my fence is jagged and uneven at the bottom. Two packets of slats in different colors were enough to let me put two channels behind one another, slide it into the fence, and it would become thicker and less likely to slip I am satisfied with every single thing I do.
