Questions & Answers

When they are driven into the ground, how do they do it?

You can begin by hammering a short piece of 4x4 about 1ft long in it. Make sure the plumb line is straight If you want the fence post to be where you want it, replace it with the actual fence post.

Stainless steel bolts do not rust, so how are they made?

It's not a good idea to use stainless steel if you don't want it to rust. Zinc is what you're looking for

Could they be used with 3 fences if they come in shorter lengths like 12"?

Although I really don't know, I would want to have at least a 24 inch lead. Keep an eye on your fence because someone will lean on it

An A- as far as convenience and durability go Given that these 4 are heavy, the packaging wasn't as heavy as you might expect
4/5

After four hours of rain, the USPS delivery person did not ring the bell, so the box was almost gone after he left it in the rain. I had to remove each spike and put them inside. In terms of quality, the spikes themselves are excellent. I believe the steel is 2mm thick with a heavy coating. There are three points where the four spikes are welded together below the 4x4. Though I wasn't sure they would be adequate, they have proven to be so. I hammered the spike into place after pushing the 4x4 from Lowe's a little bit. It did not fit well by hand, so I pushed it into place a little bit. Then I hammered the spike in until it reached its full length. In order to tighten the nuts, a 13mm socket was needed. The first installation was done by placing a spike in place, then using a level to push it into the ground, and checking to see if it was level as I hammered. I was unable to do this as one of the nuts went into the ground as the post had not yet been inserted. When it comes to posts that don't always fit well, it's a good idea to place them, tighten them first, and then hammer into the In the short time since the posts were published, they have done quite well. A fence line and gate of 90ft were constructed with nearly 16 of these. On top of that, I climbed on the fence rails to check if the whole structure wobbles (the weight of this fence is approximately 170 pounds). The image will be updated in a few months, paying attention to sagging or rust. To sum it up, I did not want to work with concrete, and this is a more convenient and quicker use of my time. My legs hurt (maybe a sledgehammer would have been more helpful) but they are 3 times as expensive as As a plus, I guess I can remove them later on if I decide I have updated The installation has been ongoing for 10 months. The inhabitants of this city are still standing strong after two hurricanes, tons of rain, and soggy weather. The rusted parts have not been pulled out of the ground, so I have not checked for corrosion. Every day, I find my 80 pounds dog leaning against the fence and staring over the fence with his front paws. The weight of the roof does not wobble or lean at all, despite all this. Looking forward to the beginning of winter and hoping it will hold after the ground is frozen. As far as I know, they go below the frost line in my area. The spikes you need if you live in the north should be longer.

An arbor in the garden would benefit from this product
4/5

My latest projects involve building an arbor for my garden and these posts It was very useful to secure the structure to the ground with them. It was important to me that I didn't dig holes and bury the posts in concrete I wanted something that could be moved if I changed my mind about As you pound the spikes into the ground, you have to keep them straight as you do so. When the spikes get deeper, it is recommended that you check them steadily with a level. Additionally, the posts themselves are not 4" x 4" Standard 3 is the intended use of them. A sum of 5 x 3 is equal to 73. Only complaint I have so far is that the spikes don't really measure 24", they only measure Six inches of that rests on the top of the air vent base. It is my hope that the 18" depth of the arbor will keep it secure for years to come. Also, I hope the arbor will not rust.

Except if your soil is rocky, these are very effective
4/5

They will be used to hold posts for a garden enclosure made out of 4x4. As I did not want to dig holes and PT lumber wasn't readily available, I bought nine 4' posts that I had to rip in half. The main drawback of these is our rocky soil in New England, and it is not a fault of the product. In order to find soil devoid of rocks, we had to install and move the posts multiple times. Then we used a cut down 4x4 and a 4 lb. stick to find the sweet spots on the ground. To drive the anchors into the ground, use a sledge hammer. There is a bit of room around each post so a shim can be used to help plumb the columns. The collars are split with a bolt and locking nut to hold the posts tightly in place. In the photo, the shim can be seen. Our intention is to snap it off eventually. In case we needed a ninth anchor, I bought a similar one from HD and it is about half as heavy, but one of the anchor fins was Strong and durable, these anchor posts are a rock solid choice. Furthermore, the black color contrasts well with the post. All in all, these are faster and easier to use than digging holes and using concrete or foam. You don't need to wait for the concrete or foam to cure once your posts are in. It would be a pleasure to work with.

This is a good result
4/5

We used these as a fence around our garbage cans. They are hard to be precise. To meet our needs, I went to HD and bought another one for $19 from their four-pack for a total of five. There was a lot of thickness and it seemed to be a better made one. In our rocky clay soil, the screws were easy to hammer in and we were able to adjust their levels as we went. The top of one of the posted broke off when we tried to adjust it. We had to get another HD anchor when the top of another post twisted as it went into the ground. We were trying to make our fence as straight as possible, and this twisting made it incredibly hard. Maybe not the right product if you are looking for precision, but overall, we are quite happy with the result. As for myself, I would just purchase all of them from HD if I had to do it again.

Trying something new
5/5

I used to joke about Florida having vertical fences because my daughter often remarked that it must be illegal. I am hopeful that these will be able to withstand the pressure of tilting I bought a variety of different sizes to test. I'm curious to see how each of them I'll be sure to update you if the idea fails. If they are otherwise functioning as expected, assume they are already doing well!.

This is the base of the fence post
4/5

The first time we used this type of product was 15 years ago to build a dog run outside a porch, but it rusted out recently. Rust will not be a problem with this new product from Amazon because it is coated. We will order more as we need them to maintain the These posts are made of 4x4 treated lumber 48 inches wide, and are in good shape. As a result of my own efforts, I installed the fence with a short piece of 4x4. The 13 fence posts were drilled deep into the ground, and once the anchor was firmly embedded, we replaced the short 4 x 4 with the 48 inch post. The light weight metal fencing is attached to the fence posts, 8 feet apart. I found the product to be as advertised. Installs easily and is simple to order. I received my order This is not a fence that will keep people out, but it is good enough to keep little dogs in. It is not allowed to climb on fences.
