My friends and I bought 4 of these (6x12) last year, and they were installed To keep my neighbor out of my personal space, I had this installed. In the back, my neighbor lies on a higher slope, and my fence wasn't tall enough to give me privacy, so I had to build a post to hold the screen so I could have 6 feet of extra screen while waiting for the ficus trees I planted in the back. I installed it nine months ago and it has held up well since then. Even though we have occasional high winds and heat in the 100s where I live, I haven't noticed any tears yet. I have noticed some color fading, though. I'm not sure exactly how long these screens will last, but if they are able to last for at least three years, I'll be happy with them. In a previous order, I was sent a half foot short piece. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement, but it was still short. I think the new stock is shorter than what I ordered previously. All in all, it adds to the aesthetics of my backyard and gives me privacy from my neighbors.
