Even though you can view through a portion of the fence boards, the effect is very muted and gives the impression that you are in a private area. I found it to be too open before I hung it on the fence with gaps between the boards. This is great! Thank you for sharing.
The fact that they kept breaking indicates they were of low quality. Took them to the hardware store to get new ones. There is no need to use any special software for installation. My favorite feature was being able to customize the size.
I did, however, get my son to help me hang the shade cloth, and when the patio was cleared and the shade cloth laid loosely on the patio I noticed that there were two places on the shade cloth that had been tackled. Especially after waiting weeks for it to arrive), I didn't have the time or energy to take it all down and return it, so I'm just living with it for now. It was a disappointing experience from the manufacturer. Trying to pass it off as something new. Thanks to WindscreenSoCal, I gained a new perspective.
This was purchased to provide some privacy on one side of my spa and I am not happy with it. The material is very sheer, I'd even say it's mostly see-through. A small amount of wind is blocked by it, but not much. I do not recommend this product for use as a privacy screen, it is a waste of money if that is what you are hoping to use.
It seems like a nice fence screen to me. The ties are. The only thing I have is a wooden fence without anything for it to clip on to. To hold it up I used a wood stapler and lining with a black edge. As a recommendation, I would say yes.
I found it to be a very easy installation, it provides us with privacy without blocking out sunlight, and it seems to be very well made, so I'm sure it will stand up well to the wind as well. I was very satisfied with my purchase and even ordered more as a result of how good I found it.
