There is no way to prevent mildew with these curtains. Various factors contribute to mildew growth, including leaks, dampness, high humidity, etc. There are curtains on my screened in porch, but some rain gets around them during strong winds, causing mold to grow on the deck. I have to remove this mold after it grows. To use them inside your home, you must verify that the window capping is good on both inside and out or have an expert examine the windows for you.

It was timely to receive the curtains and they did not disappoint. My 4 panels looked exactly like the picture, and since I ordered 4 of them, I was very pleased to find they matched so well. Note They appear fantastic on the patio and keep the afternoon sun out just fine. While they are not complete blackouts, they are enough to keep the sun off of us in the summer. Note that.
