Currently I am not aware of how windy the cupola is. As of last spring, our cupola has resisted some wind gusts which caused trees in the neighborhood to collapse, so I think it's pretty strong! This is a lovely cupola, well made. I love the look of it on top of our new pole barn, we added a copper weathervane. After seeing one made from treated lumber rot out in no time, we chose to use all plastic. Upon shipping, each cupola is well wrapped and shipped on its own pallet. It seems much larger on the ground than it does from the roof a good distance up. Please make sure that you order using the formula to get the right ratio. We had a cupola on our roof that was 40" square by 62" tall, which looked enormous, but was the perfect size. Our purchase has made us so happy and we look forward to enjoying it for many,.
