This is very cute and I am very happy with it. I just hung it up, so I am assuming it will do the trick. There is no iron sheet on the roof, as its description states "the roof is covered with an iron sheet that is durable and can be used for a long time. " The roof is actually made of wood. As a result, I assume the lifespan will be shortened.
The mason bees filled it in even before I placed it up. Can't seem to see it in the picture, but the mason bees filled it in. That's why they like it so much. Definitely one of the best products.
