A little more than four inches from the ground, the land splits into two. It has been welded on to stabilize the main stake and is shaped like a smaller offshoot. An upside down u forms when the two are together. Tapering is the main feature of the stake.
The spikes are arranged in a double arrangement so they remain By merely pressing the steel rod into the ground, it is anchored by the main shaft and a parallel spike about 3 inches away from the main shaft. It has not budged since the day I buried it in the ground, and has been through some pretty brutal winters
It is very popular with the birds and we have had it for several years.
In other words, the 35" referenced above does not refer to the height above ground after the pipe has been buried. In other words, the total length is that much. In its installed state, mine is about 28 inches high from the bottom of the basin

Thanks so much for buying this birdbath - my birds love it! The last time we spoke was four It is great to see their availability still exists. There are no problems with ours. One of the best features is its light weight and ease of cleaning. A ceramic and glass birdbath can easily be damaged from falling limbs and debris on windy days. This model won't get damaged. Despite its change of color over time, the patina still looks awesome. Due to the unique metal stand, it is difficult to set just right, but it stays in place once set. You wouldn't have to worry about it breaking if you dropped it. Throughout our yard, we keep a rock to provide birds with a perch. In the picture on the right, you can see our perch.
Birdbaths like this one do not come along very often. Arriving in a box that was heavily protected, it was in perfect condition. As far as I can tell, the twig stake is iron and the birdbath is copper. I can see no manufacturing issues. There is a protective finish on both. I bought this birdbath as a small birdbath for my front walkway in a small bed across from my house, which is both easy to get to and the perfect size for me. For the installation, I used a post hole digger to go about 8 inches deep and that took me about two As part of the stake bottom, there is a second ground pin that prevents the stake from shifting. Although it looks sturdy, the copper birdbath only sits sturdy due to its own weight and water added to it. The copper bath does not blow off in strong wind so it may not need to be further secured with Velcro or glue on the underside. It could be further secured with Velcro or glue on the underside but most reviewers say it stays put. Is this price, which is just a tad under $100, worth the money? The answer is yes, I believe. Checking the costs of hardware made with real copper now like light fixtures, etc. shows that copper anything has become quite pricey. Copper will not deteriorate outdoors and can be cleaned as well as aged beautifully. With something as simple as spray paint, one can revitalize an old iron stake. The best part is that you can even change the color as well.
The bottom line is that it is easy to install and maintain at any time. Therefore, I will be able to spend my time enjoying it just like the birds do each.
Due to a lack of clarity in the product description, it is not clear if the copper bath is coating There is no raw copper in this, since birds and animals don't prefer it. A solid copper birdbath with ancient graffiti is also listed. Neither graffiti nor anything else can be seen on the copper tub. There is no rough spot on it. In my photograph, you can also see that the copper had been damaged. On the copper paint there was a blemish and a hole. price of the copper bath and stand, this defective product is much more expensive than it needs to be.
That's not good. It is either they forgot to weld the pieces on or thought it was an excellent idea to use a little orange glue to construct their metal $85 water basins. As soon as I opened the box, the bracket was already off It's totally out of the question. The product was returned for a Don't do it.
While the 'twig' stake is just bent iron, the bath has a nice appearance. It looks twiggy enough if you picture it in your head. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to put together and how stable it is. I can bathe my birds in it, but they will not. If there is one thing I know, it's that they will drink from it but not bathe in it. I don't know if it's the shiny metal or the slippery sides. There was no way to avoid getting a stone bird bath because the birds love to bathe. That one I kept, too, because it looks nice, and they do use it to drink. However, it would be smart to just put the money toward a good stone bath from the beginning - During winter, it will not break, and birds like to nest on the smooth.
A small bench would have been perfect for my small garden sitting area. This little gem met the mark perfectly. Simply elegant is exactly what I was searching for in a small corner garden, so it wouldn't overwhelm the space. In a box designed to not crumple up during shipping, it came well-packaged for shipping. The packaging was designed so that there was not much need for interior packing since the pieces were individually boxed, there was no need for much interior packing. The objects were not damaged or bent In addition, it was quite unique to design the "stake". All of it unfolds and comes to form a bowl holder/support that can be planted in the ground. Once rooted, it stays in place! It has been in place since I bought it a couple of months ago without a single adjustment to the bowl or stake needed. What a great idea!.
I love this bird bath because it is very pretty and attracts many beautiful cardinals, bluejays, and other birds to my yard. However, after putting it in Florida sand/soil, part of it snapped off right under where the bath is positioned. It appeared as if the solder couldn't hold, and the other areas look as if they could fall off as well. As I would have to pay for shipping if I returned it, it made no sense to do so. Considering the price, I do not think it is worth it.
It's a quality product. A bit rustic, but still a bit classy, it will look lovely in our yard. As we already have three other birdbaths in the backyard, (including a heated version), I wanted to make this one a little nicer for the front yard. I've placed it right by the spigot to make filling it easy. As far as I am concerned, I can only do the least for these beautiful creatures by providing them with fresh water every day. It seems to be extremely well made and arrived almost assembled, to be honest. Just one piece to be put in I really like the size and shape and the fact that the bowl sits very firmly The tipping process should not pose any problems for me.
