It isn't something I would trust. It can only just hold itself up at full extension. I am confident that if you added any weight to it, it would collapse catastrophically. But, on its own, it's fantastic.
The trigger cannot be locked in place.
Yes. Depending on how dirty the project is, you can use soap or simply water. If you're going to use soap, be sure to rinse it away.
The u-shape was missing from mine.

I'll go over each of the following topics in this unit: br>br>1) Materials engineering 101 teaches you that like substances tend to seize when they come into contact with each other. It is for this reason that steel brake pads are not used. If the designers of this unit had remembered that simple concept, the inner and outer pieces of the pole extension twist-lock would have been made of two different materials. Instead, it was extremely difficult to get the twist-lock tight enough to hold the aluminum pole (which is a different material) firmly in place when I tightened it down. When I went to loosen the twist-lock, the plastic threads had become so tangled that it took a second pair of hands to free it. Simply by combining two well-known, Using the same plastics for the twist-lock would have prevented that issue from the start. br>br>2) Check your pressure washer configuration to see if this pole will fit. I'm not sure where this unit is manufactured or sold, but I've been using pressure washers in the Western United States for years, and the plumbing connection provided with this kit does not work. The included 3/8" quick connect to male M22-type M22-type M22-type M22-type M22-type M22 14 The adapter serves no purpose. (See photos) A 3/8" male high pressure quick connector is found on every pressure washer I've ever used. The female end of the pressure washer hose connects to it, leaving the male end of the hose free to connect your attachment. The male connector on this wand, on the other hand, is a plus! I had to scramble to find the parts I needed to build my own female-oriented robot. So that I could use this unit, I needed a female adapter. br>br>3) The aluminum pole is fine as long as it isn't extended and the pressure washer line isn't full of water. When the hose, pole, and attachments are fully extended and in use, the entire assembly becomes very flimsy. I understand there is a delicate balance between weight and sturdiness, but I believe the pole would have been stronger and more rigid if it had been slightly thicker and heavier. br>br>4) The trigger, harness, and harness connector all felt very awkward to me; I'm not making a big deal out of it because it could have been just me, but it didn't sit well with me. Examine the entire system and try to picture yourself using the pole and trigger while wearing the harness. I was unable to make it work. br>br>The trigger grip looked and felt solid, which is the only positive thing I can say about this unit. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up over time, but it appeared to be of good quality right out of the box.
made with care There is, however, no such thing as an easy-to-use long pressure washer extension. Because I'm using this wand with a low-powered electric washer, I was concerned. It's all good. This wand does not whip due to the lower pressure. I'm still undecided about whether the harness is worthwhile. A fiberglass wand would be lighter but less stable, in my opinion. Stability is important to me because I require full extension as well as a ladder. This is a product that I would purchase again.
The wand almost lifts itself under pressure, and the pull extension allows for a wide sweep without halving the walking distance. The location of the safety harness clip could be improved, as I had trouble getting the washer buckle high enough to provide much support, but that could just be me. The extension, on the other hand, has a remarkable level of stability. I use a 4000 psi washer, and it works great for me!.
It appeals to my tastes. This was ideal for my application; I have a 3800 psi pressure washer and have had no problems, and nothing appears to be wearing out excessively quickly. It was easy for me to get to the second level eves. It took a lot of effort to handle with my pressure washer. Without the sling that came with it, I became adept at controlling it in a short period of time. It's a nice bonus to get a few extra tips.
It's a little wobbly at full extension, so don't do any precise work there.
It allows me to clean my roof without having to climb a ladder. Well-made and durable. I would purchase this item again.
This is pretty much all I have to offer in the way of useful information. I bought the product because I have some extremely high gutters, and when you squeeze the trigger at full extension with the gutter cleaning attachment attached, the head ROCKETS in the opposite direction, which is extremely dangerous. Things can get broken if you don't hold on tight and prepare yourself for this wild action. In addition, the spray causes the pole to bend dramatically. I'm not a big guy, but I'm very strong, and clearing the gutters was extremely difficult for me to keep my head "on target. " br>I'm not returning it because it's a little more manageable when it's not extended, but it's still not a job for anyone who isn't in good physical shape and has good reflexes! I'm also going to bore out one of the spray tips to see if I can lower the blowback pressure. The included black head accomplishes this, but to an excessive degree, and as a result, it is incapable of moving any debris from the gutters. The next head down (at a 45-degree angle) is still WAY too strong.
At first, it was awkward to use, but having two people with a 3400 psi power washer made things easier. It's simple to adjust, and the various nozzles are useful.
