Selected User Reviews For Hozelock Pico Reel With Spray Gun
I have updated the final review as follows
A seller (ship_option_#1) refused to negotiate in the situation because the 30-day offer was not acceptable When I reported this to Hozelock they said they cannot honor warranty claims for items sold by third party Amazon sellers, even though I explained in detail that the manufacturer (Hozelock) states that all returns must be handled by the person selling the product. The item should be replaced, even after the 30 day window, if the purchaser contacts Amazon Customer Service by phone and describes the issue. This should be the case only if the product is purchased directly from Amazon (at least in the UK, but not sure about here in the USA). In contrast, if the item was sold by a third party or an Amazon "Partner", it is not covered by the manufacturer's guarantee. This is a lesson if you're going to buy on Amazon, be sure to purchase from Amazon yourself, and not from one of the third party sellers if you wish to be covered by Hozelock's warranty (which ranges from 1 to 5 years depending on the item). When I purchased this hose reel on Amazon, I thought I was saving $15 compared to buying it from an independent online retailer who was more expensive. The Hozelock warranty would have provided coverage for the item when it The hose reel I have now is broken, and I spent $52 on it in the last three months. I wouldn't call this a good deal at all! A JUNE 2019 REVIEW UPDATE is as follows Besides my original review, which is below, I am posting an update on this one. I used the Pico Reel for the first time today after installing it about a half-dozen times No matter what I do, the spray head will not guess a little plastic piece must have broken or disengaged somewhere in the handle, but in any case the water just starts flowing as soon as the tap is turned on, even though the handle is set to It's past the 30-day mark, of course I've reached the end of the Amazon return window, so I need to figure out how I can make a claim under the supposed 5 year warranty. My lucky break came when I read the fine print on the packaging, which said that the warranty would only apply if the item was registered I have already done the dance, which I did on April 3rd, so now I guess we can start. We are very unhappy with the state of the situation. The warranty/guarantee process was a smooth one for me and I hope to report on my experience with it. I have a 3-page draft of my original proposal The following review is a 5-star rating Although I already own a Hozelock Auto-DRIVE for the past two years, I really wanted to like this It would be very useful to water plants relatively close to the hose spigot if you used this reel. I do find some issues with the product which I find disappointing. It is lightweight and very easy to transport. To start with, there is a lot of leakage coming from the spray head The connection itself does not generate the energy, but the "face" area does. It seems that no matter what pattern of spraying is set, there is still some extra 'drip' when it's operating. There is a difference in particular when using what I assume is the "soft spray" pattern which has to be held in a vertical position in order to not leak prodigiously (it will still leak but it won't end up on your pants or shoes. You may be able to pull it up fine if you do it slowly and in a straight line, but when you come up the final few feet, it will become stiffer and harder to turn. Finally, the yellow hose length that runs from the spray head to the body is pretty much useless since if you try to get it longer that way (by setting the body down on the ground), it simply folds over and kinks the gray hose. In other words, the useful length is less than advertised (in other words, they take the whole length of the two hoses into account), and it is no longer Even so, it's not as useful as a watering can, and we'd rather not carry one around. Based on the fact that the same item (same except for the color) is being produced by at least one other company, I assume all of these have the same usability issues and problems.
Great for small spaces and especially in confined areas.
