A 1/4 NPT male thread is included in the gage. A female 3/4 inch swivel hose GHT fitting has been attached as shown in the picture. The /4 hose fitting has a 1-inch spigot thread, which is standard in the United States. 1/16" Diameter with 11" There are four threads per inch on this shirt. Also included are two half couplings and a quick disconnect coupling. One half coupling has a male 3/4 inch GHT hose thread and half of the quick disconnect, while the other half coupling has a 1/2 NPT female (approximately 1 inch dia with 14 threads per inch) pipe thread and the other end of the quick disconnect.
It doesn't matter as long as the hole is big enough to let air in and allow the gauge to "breathe" while it's working.
No, I'm not convinced. Or, at the very least, not without the use of a converter. This gauge is built around a hose bib thread found in the outdoors. The thread on your shower head is almost certainly standard.
This isn't going to work. To reset it to zero, you'd have to take it out of the pressure.

As a plumber, I'd like to purchase a new high-quality water pressure gauge. I could overlook the lack of a separate needle to show PSI measured when disconnected when I received it because it appeared to be well built. br>br>Within the same year, I discovered that the calibration was incorrect. Even though it's disconnected, it's reading 100 psi right now. I've mostly used this for measuring pressures under 90 psi in residential properties. I was disappointed to find out that this product was a flop. Due to this, I am unable to recommend it.
It can't be used like this.
It has an oil-filled stainless steel housing and brass internals (based on the exposed threaded fitting). Without a calibrated comparison, I can't vouch for its accuracy, but it's a good buy for the money. However, I was disappointed to discover that all of the fittings are made of anodized aluminum rather than brass. I know there's a trend toward aluminum to avoid the EPA's lead limits for brass fittings, but this is a device that's typically only used when a measurement is taken and wouldn't contaminate drinking water. Overall, if the fittings were made of brass, the system would be far more durable (and likely more expensive).
I own and operate an inspection company, as well as performing inspections. This is without a doubt one of the best gauges I've come across and use on a regular basis. br>br>The "hose Bibb" attachment material is the only thing I have a problem with. It's lovely, but it's threaded in such a way that it's easily damaged if you're not careful. Be patient, attach slowly, and there will be no problems; however, I wish the brass was thicker.
For $20, I wasn't expecting NIST traceability, but this is absurd. There's no way to change the zero pressure, which is set at 80 PSI. The span appears to be roughly correct when compared to another gauge, so you could use it by doing the calculation (subtract 80 from whatever the reading is), but that is silly. Useless. I'm not returning it because I can get a good gauge and use these hose fittings with it, so I suppose it has some value.
I needed a water pressure gauge that didn't leak so I could check for slow leaks in our irrigation system. The pressure gauge remained at 65 pounds until I was satisfied that the test was complete (no leaks).
It has a good foundation. It's built to last, and it reads accurately and is simple to operate. There are a few different attachment options included, as well as two washers and plumbing tape in case they're needed. Plastic water gauges are a waste of money. This worked perfectly and took less than two days to arrive.
Although the gauge accuracy and construction are excellent, the fittings are made of inexpensive aluminum rather than brass. Fittings are easily misthreaded, rendering them useless.
