Questions & Answers

Is this system reliable under constant pressure, meaning that it would work before a timer on ?

That would certainly be possible, however, that defeats the point of being able to open the filter and clean it. As long as it is upstream of the timer valve, which is normally under full-time pressure, you cannot do that. It is best to place them down stream of control valves and the drip circuit pressure reducer in a valve box, in a vertical position, so that the cap can be easily removed to In addition to that, I usually connect the 1/2" PVC drip distribution tube directly to the T-shoe Through a hole drilled through the frame of the valve box, the filter outlet is available.

Would you be able to screw on a regular water hose to it?

It is possible to do so. In the hose industry, FHT and MHT are different terms for female thread and male thread, Several PVC fittings and devices are available with a threaded connection. Examples include filters and pressure reducers. The thread indication on these parts is FPT or They will not connect to a hose because they are more fine (more threads per inch).

In any case, the other filter unit seemed fine
4/5

I contacted the makers to inform them. As soon as I opened the package and removed the contents, I discovered one of the filters had been damaged. As expected, the filter was stuck inside the unit (it's supposed to be attached to the threaded top, so when the top is removed, the filter will come out with it). After discovering the problem with the other filter unit, I contacted the makers, but did not hear back . I have contacted the makers again, but have not Amazon is my usual source of these filters and I've had no problems before.

Keeping your drip irrigation heads clear of grit will prevent them from clogging
4/5

It is my favorite filter because you can easily remove the long cylinder screen inside and scrub it back to new. I have tried big filters and small filters and this one is the best. There is enough room between cleaning jobs to give you some time to recover. It should be small enough so that it will be easy to remove and replace A clean environment. I use this to do water maintenance on my well water in Florida, which has sand and silt in it Substance that settles. You should be able to use it. There are now 3 of this design in my collection, one for each system. I need to hold a garage sale to sell my others.

Thin plastic is not good for the environment. During the first week, the tee broke.

These drip filters are great and I've installed them on both of my computers
3/5

The drip filter works well. I have installed it on a garden faucet used in a drip irrigation system in our vegetable garden as well as 4 sprinkler valves used in our yard * - Pros - There is a fine mesh filter with durability and is easy to maintain. The other BIG CON is that the filter mesh is not nylon, like the mesh of some drip filters, and has The attached image shows my filter elements after two My drag is the deteriorated element fragments contaminating all the drip systems, so I had to replace them all The support team told me that the filter element is neither sold nor provided separately, so you basically have to buy a new filter and use the element and throw the housing away/recycle it. Engineering failure on the part of the materials. Please consider regularly checking your filter, as I recommend it only because you need to do so!.
