There is no handle on this bag. There are only two components, the lawn level and the bolts and nuts. The aluminum is lightweight and It works well for the purpose it was designed for. Priced too high. I would estimate the value at $75.
The top soil in this product is what I used to top dress my lawn at home. This product worked great for leveling my yard. It was expensive, but it did exactly what I was looking for.

Two years ago, I moved into a new home. The front yard has been sodded and the remainder of the lawn has been With my sprinkler system, my yard (even with 2 years of settling) was not as pristine as I would have hoped. I noticed several thin areas when walking across the yard. My intention for amending the poor soil quality of our area (clay) was to topdress the lawn this fall with a 70/30 mix of topsoil and compost, 1/4 -1/2 inch depth Deep by 1/2 inch. After aerating the yard, I laid 8 yds of the mix over the lawn and followed up by applying fertilizer and overseeding heavily. It was here that the Levelawn was at its best. The product is well constructed and does exactly what it is supposed to do, despite being poorly priced. Grass needs to be leveled before the top dressing is applied. By using the back of a garden rake to spread the top dressing, I spread the lawn a little further and spread the Levelawn to flatten it. Then, whenever the Levelawn fills in the divots to level the lawn, it will lead to areas that are deeper than 1/2" top dressing. Please be aware of this condition if you have a new lawn that is uneven when it is laid out. In addition, I found the Levelawn very helpful in working the seeds into the soil when spreading grass seed on top of it. The Levelawn did a very good job in top dressing an entire lawn while manual tools are time consuming and labor intensive. It is a great tool for this kind of task. By using the backside of a garden rake throughout the entire process, I was able to get a far better end product than simply using a garden rake.
Even though I thought the price was pretty high, I decided to buy it anyway. However, I was very surprised when I discovered that the handle had not been included. The performance of this rake is much better than a traditional landscaping rake, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The fact that I can level out an area so quickly and easily saves me a lot of time. By utilizing the extra long pole, you don't need to bend over to reach a certain area and you don't incur back pain while doing so. My purchase of this product has been very satisfying.

A single screw is nowhere to be found. Double spot welding is used on all of it, then hot-dip galvanizing It's dipped so that the finish won't come off even when wet. It is made from a composite wood, which is extremely light and smooth. A very expensive tool, but it is a tool that will last my entire life. I'm glad I made the purchase.
While it does what it is designed to do, the price seems a bit excessive. It is a real chore to move around but it does its job. There was no doubt in my mind that this tool leveled my soil better than others, including It will be easier to move freshly tilled soil if I add compost on top of grass (topsoil or sand should work too).
The use of a regular rake or some of the other landscape rakes would not be as effective. Through the media, grass has a chance to stand up. It is recommended.
This tool works well and meets its intended purpose. Although I appreciated having the handle arrive one week after the tool, it was unnecessary.
